Freaking hilarious.
There are so many responses to this but none are G or PG rated!
Lets just say there's no getting cold in their tent out at Krybabyville.

K's BP was way high, Duke Hospital advised him to stay overnight. I do exactly what they tell me to do, can't blame him for that.

Sure and that may very well be the case but it is kind of weird that this happens the week after they fall out of the top 25 and after losing 4 of 5!

I wonder if K called the media so they could be waiting for him there at the hospital?

I think people are thinking about it wrong. It isn't that he is trying to get out of anything. I would make zero sense to get out of a game with GT and then return to the team. It is that his BP is high because he isn't handling this well. He did what he should have done by staying home. The issue is it seems he just isn't handling this somewhat below average play very well. The bad sportsmanship, weird comments, complaining about officiating, etc... He isn't dodging anything. I find that ridiculous. He is just a little irrational and shaken up, both mentally and physically, at this point. That is what makes sense to me at least.

Naw, they were already there holding his hand and making sure everything was okay.

Then he left and signed an agreement with a blood pressure company to hawk for them. "I'm not just a fantastic coach who loves his players and only thinks about what's best for them, I'm also a teacher, a loving father and husband, a humble man who feeds kittens and scratches puppies behind the ear. I also have high blood pressure when we lose because I care so much. When that happens..."

I agree with this. Plus, he's getting old.

BP can be high for so many reasons, and considering he was supposedly fighting a nasty virus, I'm not surprised his BP was high.

There's basketball and then there's life. Some of you are really having a hard time realizing the difference.

The only reason K is nationally known and a public figure is because of basketball. For a self obsessed egomaniac like K, image/notoriety is absolutely everything. So for him, I don't think there is any difference between life and basketball.

Sort of like when Duke fans make fun of Roy for fainting or our players for being fat. Regardless, why do you only post on North Carolina sites? I mean, I have no problem with it but was just curious.

Don't go being logical. It only causes them to confused

I agree Cory. He has never handled losing well. Surprise, surprise. His mentor didn't either. And the older he gets, instead of mellowing like most people do, he's having an even more difficult time handling a loss.

Just a strange, sad man. He'll never find contentment, regardless of the accolades heaped upon him. It's like hating someone for years and then realizing they're actually pitiful. It's a revelation.

I only post here? Really? So you've read the Duke, UK, and General ncaa boards? I'm there, pretty frequently.

I read the general NCAA boards all the time. I don't go to DI often these days. I do not go to the UK boards anymore. I could not remember if you were a Duke fan and thought that was relevant when responding so looked at your posting history. The entire first page is all this site. There obviously may be something I'm missing though. It could be with the new changes that each site only shows post from that respective site. Again, I have no issues with it anyway. I was just curious. I think it is great to post on multiple boards and unlike some never mind Duke guys posting here. Regardless, you seem very eager to point out many things you dislike about UNC fans here. I assume you do not do the same thing with Duke fans when they make fun of UNC coaches and players?

I strongly suggest you understand the settings and workings of the new setup prior to trying to call someone out.

Do I only bash UNC fans? Nope, I'll even call out Duke fans who I think are blatantly incorrect. It's all good. I do remember you used to post at DI quite often until you seemed to have cracked out.

Back to my original point: some people can't separate real-life and a game. Scary. K isn't perfect, Roy isn't perfect. I respect Roy, even when he does stupid things like comparing a loss to an actual tragedy, or leaving his walk-one to get pummeled at game-end. No coach is immune to such foolish actions, K included.

K himself got on National TV and said he had SIX guys. Remember?

He said he had SIX regular rotating players, but the OP stated Capel played more guys than K. Not true. K has played Vrank and Jeter previously, and even Obi (who Capel left on the bench the entire game).

Bottom line is with Amile out, semi and sheed gone, Duke has limited depth.

What's you going to tell us next? Your a final four team with Jefferson!

Shut up and stop being such a baby. I asked you a question. I even qualified it so you wouldn't be all whiny about it. Grow some thicker skin or leave. Idiotic responses like you just gave are the reasons people don't like Duke fans posting here. They make it harder to defend giving people like you leeway. You call UNC fans out and act like a smartass when you do it. You don't do that to Duke fans. That is calling someone out, not the rather innocuous inquiry you got all bent out of shape about earlier.

Yes, indeed it is scary. As I mentioned here, yet you seemed to not acknowledge it, K is one of those people that can't separate real-life and a game, because the game is his whole life. Very scary... and sad :(

The classic passive-aggressive dook statement. Guess you just ran out of time before you got around to listing the stupid things k has done like ignoring post game handshakes after a loss, cussing out student writers for he school paper, claiming Gerald is the victim, etc. It must be nice to be able to post like you do on a rival team's site. Shame the mods at your place don't grant the same latitude.

his ailment is probably real. reminds me of urban crier at florida when tim tebow and the boys left. the cupboard was bare and urban wasn't feeling so good. had to rehab in columbus. feels just great now. vbg
