K-Rat Being Selfish Causes Grayson "Trip" Allen To Get Hurt

Forgive me Mikey for starting another Duke thread but I just can't help myself. I can't be rehabilitated! When K does something stupid I feel it it's my obligation to let the board know about it. I was watching portions of the Duke/Appalachian State game yesterday and K-Rat made one of the most selfish moves I have ever seen him make.

Trip was on the bench with 4 fouls and Duke up 35 points. Trip was nursing a sore toe coming into the game. K-Rat puts Trip back in the game and he hurts his toe badly! Can anyone justify this selfish move by K-Rat! He is so freakin selfish! The man has three 5-star freshman sitting on the bench not playing and he puts the POY candidate back on the floor when it is completely uncalled for. The man can't see the forest for the trees folks due to his selfishness. This is a selfish man who convinced Trip come back to school when Trip was projected first round pick last year. Trip is now projected as second rounder.

Note the 54 -second mark on this video when Trip gets hurt.

I will never stop talking about Duke...never in a thousand years. I talk regularly with a former NBA AGM that I know. I trust him. As it stands right now Trip is a second rounder. The NBA is all about "what have you done for me lately" and not what you have done in the past. And with a toe problem that will linger for the rest of the season Trip will make little improvement. Most of his stats are worst than last year and will get worse when some of the freshman start playing. Ask James McAdoo about not jumping to the NBA when he was projected first round after his first year.

I hate puke as much as any human can. I watch them also for two reasons. 1. I hope against hope they will lose. 2. I want to see what our competition has in store for us. I watch Kentuck and Moo for the same reasons.

I think it is clear that ratty is only concerned with his own legacy and I really don't understand why he refuses to play his bench players. I think Trip brings bad luck on himself with his extreme bad karma, but I don't wish injury even on him. I hope he recovers in time to receive a proper whipping from the Tar Heels!

Perhaps you should ignore the threads that you don't like. At any given time there are 15-20 active threads on this site. One thing that I have learned is that you seldom change the mind of anyone on this site. What happens is that you get into a back and forth and no one changes their position. I know many don't like my Duke threads, but I'm not going to stop posting them regardless of what people say. On this topic, lets agree to disagree.

This thread would have died a peaceful death without this post by you. There was only one four word reply until you chimed in. I like your posts mostly dadika, you bring a lot to the discussion, but you appear to be a defender of the dukies more & more lately. I likely will never start a dook thread (but maybe I will), but I do enjoy reading them, particularly the ones that pick on Allen or the Rat. CB34 makes a very good point. Often, some Dook threads are started by our own fans and actually incite conversation between our fanbase (usually before another group of fans decide to derail it). People need to knock off the "This board should be 500% UNC" crap. The things that Dook does affects the things we do down the line, and vice versa. No reason why we should limit ourselves to 100% UNC related material. There's a name of a political party that comes to mind for people who can't tolerate other rational perspectives/topics.

Perhaps you need to take up your argument with a Moderator though a private message and discuss the issues you have privately and they can point out the differences. Also, perhaps avoid threads that you disagree with. I post a lot of Duke threads. I don't see that changing. I can only speak for myself. There is no click on this board. I can tell you that my Duke threads don't stay active very long because many posters just ignore me. Also, I don't have a problem with them getting the last word. Another thing is that I don't go back and forth with posters and get into arguments. It's not my style. My observations of Mods over the years is that they don't like a lot back and forth prolonged arguments between posters that are not productive. I think everyone on this board that's have been here for a while has been called in on the carpet or banned by the Mods over an issue. I was almost banned few years ago when I said some choice comments about PJ Hairston.

People are always posting where recruits go on this board, there was nothing pro dook about it, you just took it that way. I'd say it was way more relevant and amendable to actual basketball discussion than whatever this thread is.

Edit I also find taking joy in a kids injuries to be pretty lame. For many reasons,not the least of which is I want to play duke while they are at full strength as I've said before.
