Here is the latest on Trip. He has a toe injury which has bothered him all season. He is not the same player as last year and may not reach the playing level of last year. The only remedy is weeks of rest, but I doubt that will happen under K-Rat. He cannot drive the basket like last year and that's big part of his game. Note the twitter comments

I really don't see the problem with steats duke threads, to me it is kind of simple, don't like them then don't click on them. No one forces anyone to click on one of his duke threads and no one forces any one to read them. They are clearly enjoyed by some so why not allow those that do enjoy them to participate in them and those that don't, don't bother to click.

I find it funny, for example, in every duke related thread Mike will give the obligatory "I hate duke threads" line, I am thinking by now it is a automatic default replay. At this point I do think we are aware that Mike does not like duke threads and yet every time he gives that auto-reply he pushes that duke thread back to the top of the list? LOL All yall, ya hate duke threads, you replay that you do and you push it right back to the top? LOL

If you hated the duke threads as much as you say then you would simply not reply to them and let them fall down down down the list so far that they disappear from the front page, but no, you guys scream how much you hate them while insuring they perpetuate by keeping the topic high on the thread list?

I don't like dictating what someone wants to talk about, as long as it is respectful to Tar Heels and does not get personal toward other Tar Heel posters I am fine with it. If it does not interest me I either don't open it or don't reply.

I don't think it was pro dook as much as it was an unnecessary attempt to say "I told you so". You could have said Carter was going to dook without throwing in your little barb about ahem, Hahvard. I don't know of a single post where someone said they thought Carter was actually going to Hahvard. And even if there was, so what? There were some who said he was considering the Ivy League school and had not eliminated them from consideration. And as long as Carter listed them as one of his finalists, I think it's fair to say they hadn't been eliminated. But to try and take credit for a prediction that the vast majority of us shared is a little petty.

So I need thicker skin and Im paranoid but you are the one who was mature enough... after I was already told by a few other posters earlier in this thread- why they took offense to my post about Carter, and The issue was pretty much dropped- until you, two days later now, decided to bring it back up again and re ignite the whole thing. Theres a word for that type of behavior but I think its best I refrain from using it. Either way, Im done with this conversation.

I posted over there a few years ago, Steat. And while I was never banned, I fell out of favor for posting opinions contrary to the general consensus. So I simply stopped posting there. Can you imagine if a duke poster came here to trash talk some of your long time dukie posters? It would be the very same as it is with our situation. This being a UNC board you should not expect much different than what you see and ditto for the dukie board as it applies to all things tar Heel related. It goes both ways and it's obvious you have not been around very long. I remember when you had a 20-page thread on Roy and many cartoons about him also etc. The photoshops were funny too. I'm still laughing...some creative stuff! I also remember when Meeks was a freshman your board ridiculed him pretty hard because of his weight. You guys also had a pretty good time ridiculing PJ Hairston because of drugs. Bottomline, both boards are guilty of this. Bottomline, don't take this stuff seriously. I'm guilty of this. Also, it's all about timing when you go on a Duke rant. If the Heels were losing I would probably go hide under a rock...

I don't take any of this stuff too seriously. And you are exactly right, the ribbing goes both ways. All I meant was that the 124 page thread was more about making fun of posters than the UNC team - at least that's been my perception.

Not much. Of course, if we're playing a top team, it's wise not to call the dogs off too soon. But up 35 against App State halfway through the second half? Puh-lease. I'm always paranoid when we have starters in late in blowouts.
