Well I hope he recovers. But I definitely won't mind seeing duke struggle in the meantime.
I don't personally see this as him abandoning the team. Unlike in 95, this current team is 20 times more talented than Cherokee Parks and co. He'll be back to try and finish the job. I wonder if it'll be longer than 4 weeks though.
Stay classy guys, ones health is nothing to joke about.
Agreed Mikey (although I laughed at the Allen tripping him commentStay classy guys, ones health is nothing to joke about.
Gayson tripped him as they were walking down the cheese aisle. Get well soon, Ratface.

I agree 100%Anyone, either fan base, poking fun at the health of somebody is just lame.
I agree 100%
As a new member on this board this is really disappointing to see; especially from senior posters. Oh well.
Wishing you a super quick recovery Coach K! But once you return...its on!
I have the exact same issue. Will be scheduling for surgery in aonth as soon as my work schedule allows. I wasn't able to walk with it just before Christmas. I love to rib him as much as the next, but that kind of trouble is almost unbearable. They can fix the herination, bit not solve all the pain issues associated with it. Truly a debilitating problemDuke coach Mike Krzyzewski will undergo back surgery Friday, the school announced Monday.
Krzyzewski is expected to coach Wednesday against Georgia Tech and then step away for the surgery to remove a fragment of a herniated disk in his lower back. The procedure has an anticipated recovery time of four weeks.
"His back has been bothering him way worse than he's let on," a source told ESPN.
Assistant coach Jeff Capel will coach the team while Krzyzewski recovers. Capel's first game will be Saturday against Boston College.
Now my .02, bad back huh, with the advances in medicine they are putting him under the knife for a disk? Curious.
I hope he comes back with a smile like the Joker in Batman.
Agreed. People will claim because its the back that its the same thing but hes got 8 nba players at his disposal on this team. I doubt very much that hes bailing but Im sure we will see all the pretend "classy" posters here saying that he is.
Ill grab my popcorn and watch.
"Hello pot, I'm kettle". You exude "class" with all your posts.
Trip will sit out 10 games. Then if any more after that lifetime suspension from ACC. Trip should not have been on the bench in game uniform in the Va Tech game. It was a direct insult and slap in the face to the ACC Commisioner. Also rumor of ineligible player on team. I made that last part up. Bottomline, the next few weeks will tell us a lot about the Duke situation. Perhaps the Dookies will now stop talking about Roy's bad knees and his ongoing bout with vertigo.
