It's the first game; Probably shouldn't read too much into that performance considering they have basically a new team every season.
I agree. We should just take our ball and go home. We're doomed.
Good luck to you guys and gals this year.
I hope we can. Wished it would be played a little later though.Beat Duke and I will celebrate with you .

Well, I hope they play better next Tuesday. I think I've learned not to worry too much about how Kentucky looks early in the year. They have consistently had some games like this. That backcourt is going to be tough for anyone to handle. I like our team better though. Too bad we don't play.
Pretty absurd. You have to consider the proverbial sources I guess. Think about it, there are even people in the friggin local media who don't understand who or what this team is.The only thing confusing to me was a odds stat ESPN put up last night, apparently based off of Vegas- where "based off of after 1 game" the odds to win the national title favorites were Kentucky and Kansas at 7-1. How? How after that astounding performance is Kentucky number one?
We were third at 8-1. Isn't it safe to say we had the most impressive performance out of everyone in the top 5? We're the only team that played anyone, and the only team that played away from home, and won the most convincingly given that- score not withstanding.
Long season, I know. Just thought it was interesting.
Well, in a way I'm not sure anyone knows who or what this team is yet. They still have to prove they can make shots consistently (outside of Paige) and can close games against good teams. I think they can. I think they will. However, it isn't unreasonable for others to have those questions. This is the same group that has more experience and is now healthy (once MP gets back). That is enough to be pretty good. Still, they have work to do to be really good.
I agree for the most part but I do think that Britt and Berry are at least decent outside shooters. They came on strong to end the season and even though it was only one game this season, I think that is a trend that will continue. Theo and Justin can chip in from outside as well. Paige will continue to lead us but I doubt that he will continue to have more 3s than our entire team combined. Closing a game against a good opponent and hitting clutch FTs will remain my primary concern. This is a down year for college ball and few teams can field as many consistent scorers as we can.
May I point you out as some of the more intelligent UNC fans?
Smart fans don't judge UK in Nov.
BTW, UNC looked great considering that Paige didn't play.
Seems like you deserve the #1 rating........enjoy.
Didn't think I.............." would agree with a UK fan".......,but you're right, one game in november does not indicate how that team will fare as the season goes.
Thornton "may" be another "Bail-out" Dawkins player for Duke, a player that K convinced to come in early as an insurance policy for backcourt insurance and than shuns him after he arrives. Of course, we are only talking about one game and Thornton may blossom to become a 1-in-done talent later this year. Thornton is not going to start over Frank Jackson when he arrives next year.Frank Jackson is a stud and will start day one for the Dookies.
Interesting you say that - DT was considering bypassing his last hs year before everything went down and Jones left. And btw Jackson is a combo guard, and while a beast, he won't be ready to be a true full time pg at the collegiate level. He will play a little PG, but DT should have the reigns with one full year under his belt.
As for UK - it's very early and IIRC Briscoe didn't play against Albany. That certainly didn't help.
