I was looking back at our 2022 team (our runner-up year), noticed Kerwin, and decided to check how he did after leaving UNC.
He went to Texas Tech and didn't play a lot at first but had decent stats.
TTech didn't do well his first year there, leading to a coaching change. And Kerwin got his chance. After 7 games coming off the bench (earning 1 MVP) he moved to starter and has started ever since.
We knew him as a 3-pt shooter and that continues. Last year his 3pt% was 8th in the nation at 47.8% He was also solid from 2 (54.5%) and at the line (72.7%).
He's "struggling" a bit in his final season. Only 40.9% from deep.
He's not a high volume scorer, but clearly a valued contributor.
It's nice to see him do well. I hope it continues.
