Kevin Knox latest Blog Entry

Will believe it when he signs that LOI. Feels like the same situation we've seen many times over.

And as always hope I'm wrong.

Very neutral blog. Nothing to read into it besides he'll be watching the draft declarations before making a decision.
It's likely he intends to go to a college where immediate PT is available. That should put UNC in the mix if Justin still intends on declaring.

He didn't mention dook for his OV list. Has he already been on an official there?

I have a good feeling about Mr. Knox for some reason. If we get that visit Kentuck and puke better start getting a wee bit nervous! Roy is the consummate closer!
He may well end up somewhere else, but I think we have a good shot and I know we will have the slot available for him to step in and start right away! Love that he will watch how teams play; how could you not love watching our team run peeps out of their own gyms and the joy we play with? Also, if we take care of business and make it to the FF again it has to look good to recruits!

Regardless of where you feel Knox is going, I'm not sure how this blog would change anything either way. Like someone said, this was a whole lot of nothing regarding any hints toward his recruiting mindset.

You haven't watched much Carolina recruiting I take it. You just repeat the same rubbish other parrot, those of us that have been around awhile have heard again and again, it's tiresome.
Knox will go toward spring, with reason, great talent, just needs to find his "spot"...hence take a peek at who's leaving. Can't blame the kid.

Interesting choice of words. Got any actual examples of those "closer" recruits?

Glad to see u back glov and your ban was all wrong and bs. Heck I got put in time out for a week last year and almost exited on my own but glad to be here and pick up some good tid

I love the line about UNC fans loving him and letting him know how much! This can't possibly hurt. Knox seems a pretty level headed guy despite all the attention and this is another reason I really want him to join the Family! Plus he and I share a disdain for the "package"!

Just because speech is free doesn't mean you're barred from providing some value with said speech. Your posts are usually incoherent, overly negative nonsense.

I live in Tampa and have seen Knox play a bunch and chatted with some folk around him. I hate to say it, but I am pretty sure he is leaning strong towards UNC

" I hate to say it, but I am pretty sure he is leaning strong towards UNC" And why would you HATE TO SAY IT? Does not sound as if you like UNC much...

Good to see a good poster return. I look forward to debating with you Mr. Glov!

To the kitty: You certainly sound defensive for someone supporting a program with no worries!

UNC is uniquely suited to elevating a player like Knox to even higher interest from the NBA. He is smart, talented, and hard working. Roy and Company could certainly showcase him while giving him a chance to win a Natty!

Come join the Family, Mr. Knox!

Well, what he said was absolutely correct, UK and Voldemort's team will have a roster full of burger boys, regardless. Still, I'd love to see Knox in baby blue.

Come on home, Mr. Knox; we'll make you famous(er)!

I keep hearing that Knox does NOT want to play the 4.

How do the minutes get apportioned if he signs with us? With Justin gone and no Knox or Vanderbilt, Theo starts at SF. Right? I mean, who else?

But if Knox comes on board, does Theo stay at SG - making room for Knox BUT pushing Kenny, Brandon, Andrew and maybe others to the curb at SG?

We are told that Roy never promises starts or minutes. And we know that Roy leans toward starting seniors and experienced personnel - although he will start freshmen, and Knox is likely to be good enough out of the box to start.

So how do you see that playing out? And, perhaps more importantly, how does Knox see that playing out?

You do whatever you have to to have Knox in the starting lineup. Him and THeo on the wings and we wouldnt miss a beat from this year. Theres no one coming in or coming back next year that would take his spot.

With Knox, I'd foresee a starting lineup like:

Berry
Pinson
Knox
Manley
Bradley

This is all assuming JJ leaves and Berry comes back.

Yeah, or you could even go small if Manley or Huffman arent ready for Primetime. Could envision a pretty nasty small ball lineup with that group.

Jalek - Seventh
Theo - Kenny - Andrew
Knox - Brandon - Shea
Luke - Sterling
Tony - Huff

PF is our biggest worry with that lineup. Otherwise, tremendous potential. The other drawback is youth. That's only 1 senior along with possibly 2 frosh, a soph and a junior.

Yes as I said I think you could go small-slide Theo to the four and start Kenny. If Joel Berry is back then this becomes almost a no brainer to me.. Roy would have to think about changing his approach a bit but that small lineup could wreak havoc.
