Knox drops 40 and 20 in front of Roy

I've even seen a UK insider predicting UNC and recently Bossi said UNC is stronger here than he anticipated. I'm still gonna stay in "wait and see" mode. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he picked any of the four finalist.

I find it interesting that no one from Dook or Kentucky came to watch his game. The last game to see him in highschool. (I think all teams play Saturday)

Maybe just maybe the Knox family has seen all those 5* guys riding the pine. :)
While I get you were jabbing at Duke I think there is something to this, depending on who stays and who goes he might not have a guaranteed shot at starting for Duke next year. With Jackson gone he will most likely slide right into his position at UNC. Advantage tar heels in IMO.

Not sure I understand? I think it is pretty much a done deal that Tatum & Giles are gone, think it is nearly as strong that kennard goes as well and it would be a shock if tripster is able to stay in the first round that he wouldn't go as well. And of course Jefferson is not going to be back for his 14yr or Matt Jones.

Hard to see Bolden going any where but last I checked he was still projected as a 1st rounder as hard as that is to understand. Have not looked at that in a while. No matter, hard for me to understand Knox not having a starting spot for duke with all those likely to hit the exit door? Not that I am fussing mind you, I sure hope the kid feels that duke is to over crowded for him and eliminates them.

Tatum and Giles are gone, Kennard should go but will he? Allen has dropped out of the first round, does he come back? If Bolden declares he may go undrafted so I would think he would be back but honestly who knows. Frank Jackson is back... Trent jr, Carter, and we hope Duval coming in next year and Knox wants to play the 3 not the 4 so you're talking about a possibility of Kennard, Allen, Jackson, Trent all splitting time at the 2-3 positions, throw Knox in there and he isn't getting 30 mpg especially with K only going 7 MAYBE 8 deep. Knox could play the 4 like Tatum, Winslow, and Parker but he doesn't seem all that interested in playing the 4.

Too much Heels and Dookie talk. Let's not forget Kentucky and the Noles. Would anybody be surprised if Cal got him?

No honestly, Cal's told him he could live on the perimeter and possibly even play the 2 guard spot. I think Cal is high for saying that but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Knox bought in.

I want to say yes. Cal was supposed to be at his game yesterday, but didn't end up going. I think that says a lot honestly.

You just never know with 17 & 18 yr olds. Everybody will just have to wait and see.

Surprised? Maybe not. But I see a log jam there, too.

I'm assuming Gabriel and Killeya-Jones return. Despite their height, both look like 4/3s to me. To which they add Vanderbilt and Washington - both of whom like to play outside-in - along with a couple of tallish SGs. Knox may be the purest SF among them, but that's still a lot of high-ranked competition.

My main question if we land Knox and he plays SF is what happens to Theo. He'll be a senior. Does he start at SG, or is he reduced to backing up Knox and playing PF in small ball situations? If he isn't pushed to the bench to make room for Knox, then who does get pushed to the bench? Our wingplosion is even worse if Berry returns (forcing other guys to seek extra PT at SG or SF). And at the moment it looks like Berry will return=

If Knox comes to us..he will never play pf for us unless we're in foul trouble ..that's our main selling point in this recruitment!!..berry,Theo,Knox,maye,Bradley is the most realistic lineup for us!!

Yeah I know. I have Theo playing PF in those scenarios. Your right though, most likely Theo at the 2 and Maye at the 4 for starting. Don't be surprised if it's a lot of small ball though next year, with Theo at the 4.

I would. Knox family is very smart.

I'd love to have Berry back but I think we win the whole freaking thing and he goes, Knox comes to the Hill, and we have a very different but very fun group to watch again next year. I think BRob makes a big jump next year as well.

I have been wrong before...

That could work as a good team, but will it work to convince Knox?

If I'm Knox and I look at those lineups, I think I'm playing PF. To paraphrase Lincoln, you can pencil in Theo (or 7th or whoever you want) at the 4 but that doesn't mean he's a 4.

Sure, sure, we have seen Theo play the 4. Some. But not game-in-game-out. So even we shouldn't expect that to happen on a regular basis. And to Knox, it probably looks even less plausible.

Among Duke, UNC and UK, it's not clear that any team looks "clean" to Knox. FSU probably has the clearest opening (assuming the expected departures). But why would he want to play there instead of here or Duke or UK?

I don't think it really matters as long as Knox is playing the wing on offense, is able to bring the ball up court and initiate the offense when need be, and Theo is guarding the 4 man.

The 20 rebounds in this game suggest he's not afraid of mixing it up inside. Or is that a fluke?
