Knox final in home visits...Carolina is NOT

I don't know if this is a schedule thing with Roy, a good thing or a bad thing.

perhaps someone can shed a little light as to why we are not on this list

I'm assuming this is a scheduling thing. The article never stated that Duke was the final visit but the final this week. I couldn't see any reason they wouldn't give Roy a last in home visit. I hope that I'm wrong.

Problem is apr 20 starts the quiet period in recruiting. So Wednesday is really the last day anyone could visit him, as far as I'm aware.

Yikes, you're right. Well, it may be then the author just didn't know about UNC. I have to imagine it is story-worthy if we're not doing a visit, because that would mean we're pretty much out. I also find it hard to believe scheduling would keep Roy from being there. We're not exactly in the middle of basketball season.

Believe me the author knew about UNC. The family has been asked but they have gone silent.

I'd welcome Knox but I think Brooks is a more important recruit for is. Theo will fill the SF role very well for a year and turn it over to Hamilton the following year.

I guess it could be that he's leaning UNC and giving the other 4 schools a chance at a last pitch to change his mind, or that he's having in-homes with the 4 schools to let them know face to face that he's not going there.

But those don't seem all that likely, so I agree - this would seem to indicate he's going elsewhere.

Oh I didn't mean the author didn't know UNC was involved. Only that he might not know the status of our potential visit. If it's confirmed that we're not having one that is a pretty big deal, and the author should have mentioned it in the story. Given that he didn't my guess is he's not sure of our status.

If we really are eliminated, I'm not mad about it. Knox doesn't owe us anything, including a courtesy visit. It would be great to know why though. Seems very strange to eliminate only us right now, especially since this looks like such a good situation for him.

I think he still ends up here unless Berry and Bradley both leave. It's odd but it's still the best fit.

Roy flies around like an eagle. If there is an issue it isn't scheduling, He's going to see Brooks in Bama , do you think he couldn't hop over to Tampa? The silence from the Knox camp is deafening. I think something changed in the last couple of days.

Not sounding good. Whatever. UNC is national champs. If he wants to waste a year at Duke, go for it. Would be more productive playing in CHina. Duke and UK no longer coach, they just handle players. An embarrassment to the sport.

You can doubt whatever you'd like. I think he's dook bound. But any progress that we make with Brooks prior to Knox's decision only helps our case with Knox. I'm not sure how anyone could see meeting with Brooks having a negative impact on Knox. Brooks plays a position that Knox doesn't want to play. There is scholarship room for both of them. He's just another good big man for Knox to play with. It shows Carolina and Roy are hot right now by grabbing another recruit. It will be wonderful if we are able to go into the Knox meeting today and tell him that Brooks is the newest Tar Heel.
