Asked earlier this week about staff installing the new defense much slower than how things were taught under the previous defensive regime, which handed the players a great deal of terminology and responsibilities:
"There's a lot less right now, that's for sure. Gene (Chizik) and those guys have decided how they're gong to install things. They're working really hard on the base, the fundamentals of what it takes to play in that base defense. And then they've just been spoon feeding them as they've gone on. Today was a new coverage they had to deal with - there were some busts out there. But, it's been good for our guys because they keep learning something new each day as they try to master what they learned the day before."
