Let's discuss 2017 recruit: Brandon Huffman

pickup games and official practices...will be good for Bradley, Huffman and Manley--offense and defense competitions...a soft non-conference schedule then a couple of tough games before conference...coaching staff will be flexible and realistic

I expect Jalek to give us 8-9pts a game, and maybe more if JB leaves.
Huffman 7pts and 5rbs
You seriously think Huffman is going to average 1 point less than Jalek? You seriously think Huffman will average 7 points? Freshman stats Brad Daugherty 8.2/5.2 in 23 mins a game , Scott Williams 5.5/4.2 in 15 mins a game , Eric Montross 5.8/4.2 in 15 mins a game , and last and certainly not least Rasheed Wallace 9.5/6.6 in 21 mins a game

All we need from Huffman is solid backup minutes, unless Tony leaves. I think he's more than capable of that. And I think most of our fans are selling Manley short, much as they did Luke. I expect mostly mop up minutes next year but after a year with Jonas and the staff, he will begin to blossom as a soph. Mark my words.

Yeah but those were all Dean's players, and we all know how Dean used to keep his players down. ;)

Kidding aside, it's obviously partly whether Huff can give us 7/5 and partly whether we need him to. With fewer and less seasoned front line players, I hope our perimeter and driving offense cranks up a notch. That way our bigs won't have to produce so much offense.

They'll still need to rebound strong, though. So the most important thing for Huff (and Manley, too) may be crashing the boards without fouling.

I think most of us were impressed (and gratified) at Luke's performance as a sophomore. He gave us 5.5 points and 3.9 rebounds in 14.1 minutes - and won a few games for us. That's pretty decent.

If Luke doubles his minutes and his output, he's 11 and 8. But some are expecting Huff (and maybe Manley too?) to do better as frosh than Luke did as a sophomore surprise. That would be great, but maybe not realistic.

With the exception of Jalek, whom I think is going to be very special, all we need is rebounding and garbage buckets. Huffman and Manley are capable of that at minimum.
