Luke Maye to Draft?

This^^^ Luke will forever be known as “Cat Killer Luke” and always be a legend to UNC fans but I don’t really see him making it in the NBA. I see him more as an overseas type player that does really well for himself and then comes back to Chapel Hill one day and joins the staff.

I am a UNC fan, why should i care what happens in the NBA?

From an offensive skill set, Luke could make it in the NBA. Problem is he would get killed on the defensive end. He isn’t making anybody forget Bobby Jones at UNC. Maybe he will get on a team that likes his attitude and let’s him hang around for a couple years, but don’t see much more than that.

If the Heels win the NCAA title with Luke going for 35 pts and 15 rebounds in the title game he is NBA bound...latter part of first round. I hope that happens.

Chief, I am as much a homer as anybody. Like what Luke has become at UNC. But to bring Larry Bird into the conversation as a way of comparison? No matter your enthusiasm, may I suggest putting down the Glenlivet, take off the Carolina Blue glasses, and step back into reality. Like can shoot pretty good. Been other big guys that could as well. But to even consider linking him to one of the greatest players the game has seen is a huge stretch.
