Dang I hope Luke, and everyone else is OK. I was supposed to go to a funeral at a Church just off of Cotton Grove road today but got sick. Friend who went called me and told me there was a wreck and a major traffic snafu. Guess this was it.
Yeah, my cousin who lives in Davidson Co sentr me a text. Apparently he was on the wrong end of an 18 wheeler. Sounds like it could have been WAY worse.
No. If it was me I'd be getting BBQ, but...
Apparently word spread pretty fast amongst the locals it was Luke.
I'd love a couple of BBQs right about now. Wonder if Luke was going to the funeral. Anyone know what's his home Church?
The accident linked above was not the accident Luke was in. He was in route to his home in Huntersville (assumed), via I-85.
A buddy of mine texted a group of us yesterday after it happened. He has a friend who was a first responder. No one seemed to realize it was Luke Maye except my buddy's friend.
From my friend...."He was n middle lane trying to get in right lane. He clipped an 18 wheeler. He flipped twice. My buddy said nobody knew who he was except for one fireman."
It could've been bad, but he just had a small injury to his knee. Blessed young man.
