I had the pleasure of attending the Richmond Ram's Club lunch today.
Not a whole lot really to report. A few nuggets:
- Eric Montross represented basketball. Real hangover from the NCAA stuff. First time in 26 years Roy has not signed a McDonald's AA. Not from lack of effort.
-Mentioned Tokoto going pro and almost broke out in a laugh when talking about his draft prospects.
- Jones Angell indicated the University had no firm idea of a timetable with the NCAA, but that they felt good about what they would hear when they finally got a Notice of Allegations.
- Fedora said the NCAA stuff/negative recruiting has gotten worse. Said all the in state kids have known since middel school was negative about UNC. You could tell he was really frustrated.
- He said the best way we could help was to show up and be positive. Said to keep how stupid you thought he was off the chat boards. Kids read that stuff and it makes the negative vibe worse.
-Football wise, said they felt really good about the OL.
- Said the WRs and Quise should be healthy for Summer workouts.
- Somebody ask why TJ Thorpe left, Fedora said, "Becuase he thought he should get more balls," and left it at that. You could tell he was not happy.
That is pretty much it. In summary, the only thing any of these people seem to like less than the NCAA black cloud is talking about said black cloud.
