"With Duke and Kentucky, obviously they're great programs, which, as you said, they speak for themselves. To expand a little bit, why did they make your cut? You visited them, right? Marvin Bagley: Yeah, I want to go the NBA. That's my goal and those schools help get you there. They prepare you for that. That's why they made my list. I just want to get better."

Okay, and someone has been fueling you with Kool-Aid bro.

butter--one thread ..you seem to be pro UNC...another thread(on Rupp) you seem pro UK..you are smooth!..so everybody to UK

Make the top players aware that you would welcome them but prioritize recruits in the 20-100 range.
Agree. Several of us have voiced our opinion that Roy could focus on the 25-75 range kids and have his pick. These kids are there for the taking but many times we have prioritized pipe dreams and left scrambling late to get in on other kids. I think Roy could easily have a class every year with each kid being a top 60 player if he wanted to.

Agree.
Roy should be looking to get 2-3 yr kids and if they blow up and go early, so be it but targeting and going ga-ga over self proclaimed OAD kids is unnecessary - case in point: the banner about to be hung in DES!

I've personally seen him in Dook clothes on multiple occasions & ive heard he's a Dook fan.[/QUOTE]
Langford recently stated that he hadn't heard from dook in a long time. I personally see him ending up at IU when Miller gets after him big time. He(Langford) is very family oriented and I don't see him coming to dook or UNC.

Roy has always gone after top-ranked kids who needed a few years to develop.

The problem is that all those kids now think they are good enough to be OAD. So those who would fit Roy's program perfectly end up languishing on the bench at Duke or UK and sometimes even waste a year transferring to another school that will give them the teaching and playing time they need.

Nor is Roy the only good coach with this problem. Look at the recruiting classes for guys like Tony Bennett, Jay Wright, and even Rick Pitino.

When was the last time you heard a HS player say he wants to get to the NBA fast and that's why he's looking at Virginia or Villanova or other pretty good performing teams like Wichita State or Gonzaga?

If he's that family oriented than UL should have a huge advantage. The YUM center is literally 20 min from his house.

I Guess that's why UL is leading in the CB with 50%. I knew he was from Indy , but wasn't sure where in Indy.

He's from New Albany Indiana. It's right across the river from Louisville.

Duke doesn't seem to be prioritizing Langford as much these days. (no idea why as I really like him). Also, FWIW.......the rumor is that Langford and his father aren't huge fans of Pitino, so the talk to him going to UL may be a bit premature. Depends on if they can get past the issues they have with Ricky I guess.
