Maybe Im being a homer but...

Archer youre confusing "NBA potential" with talent. I can assure you Berry, JJ and Hicks are as good if not better than every player in the country at their position. Its like last year when Tyler Ulis and Yogi Ferrell were the 2 best point guards in the country but tons of other point guards were drafted ahead of them just due to potential and measurables. Doesnt mean you would take anyone over those 2 when starting a college team.

I don't conflate the two at all, Show. Hans was one of the best ACC players ever but a mediocre pro at best. I do think we have a great collection of college players and couldn't be happier with Roy's handling of our program.

But when speaking of sheer talent, as I was, it has to be measured against the benchmark of the NBA, which is the highest level of competition and where the best college players aspire to be.

As for picking Joel and Isaiah to build a college team, I'd agree with Joel but probably not Isaiah. He has a lot to prove for me to say he's the best PF in college. I think he potentially could be but he must defend better, score more, and rebound much better.

We are talented enough to win the whole freaking thing. We looked really, really good against a Chattanooga team that returned the core of its 29-win team from last year. And when Theo comes back... wow. We will be a very, very dangerous team.. not that we aren't already. Rebounding? Check. Passing? Check. Athletes running the floor for fast-break opportunities? Check. Outside Shooting? Check. Bench-play? Check. Bonafide superstsar? Check. HOF Coaching? Check. We have the pieces.

The only thing about this year as opposed to last, is the field appears stronger, at least when you look at the top teams.
