Playing host to 2015 Class 3A runner up American Heritage, Carter’s impact started when he returned a 92-yard kick off to the end zone to claim the lead after the Raiders fell quickly into a 6-0 hole.

By the end of the night, Carter was the school's new record holder for single-game touchdowns as he found the end zone seven times — all part of a 70-26 win.

The previous record holder at Navarre?

Carter’s older brother and Harding University running back Dwayne Carter — who was in attendance at Navarre Friday night.

"It was extremely special to have him (Dwayne) here (Friday night)," said Carter, who shared a few words with his older brother following each score. "We grind together, we sweat together and we bleed together. We've got love for each other and we've both got a competitive edge. He wanted me to do it (break the record)."

Carter's mighty numbers (6 rush TDs, 343 yards; 1 kick return TD) were matched by his class Friday night, as he redirected a majority of the attention after accomplishing his big feat.

"I'm gonna be honest, I didn't do too much of that — that was all my O-Line," said Carter, as he and the Raiders extended their regular-season win streak to 20 games. "We were executing and all on the same page. I didn't have to do too much work. We're just out there having fun playing. Football is fun and games are for fun, I just love playing with my teammates."
