That raises some interesting issues:

1. Can Ohio St get an invite to the playoffs having played only 5 regular season games?

2. If so, what does that say about the Big Ten's power to get what it wants? It certainly says nothing about the great strength of the conference.

3. Does this mean that Harbaugh is done?

This means they aren't eligible for the conference championship under current rules. That should knock them out of the playoffs, but won't because they are a brand name.

Ohio St will play in the Big 10 Championship as AD’s suppose to meet with Commissioner tomorrow to discuss!!! $$$$

They will bend the rules both the big ten and the ncaa
The NCAA used to rent office space from the Big Ten. That frames the relationship and explains why Ohio State, which has the dirtiest pair of revenue sports (football and basketball) of any school, has always skated away from real NCAA trouble.

If Clemson beats ND and Florida can pull off an upset and beat Bama in the SEC championship, then OSU is out, regardless if they play in and win the Big 10 championship game. It would be a terrible look for college football to let OSU in the playoffs after playing only 6 games.

That's what should happen, but the OSU brand is too big to leave them out. If they win, they are in no matter who beats who. It's dumb, but money is really all it's about.
