Mike Irby needs our help . Please help him kick cancer to the curb!

Since 2005, our dear friend Mike Irby has served as an unpaid moderator for the UNC Rivals websites. Only recently did we learn that he has been suffering from cancer for most of those years. Now Mikey is unable to work and needs our help to continue cancer treatments. Without his service, the UNC Rivals site would never have thrived as it has under his care. Thinking of this, we’re reminded of the character George Bailey in the classic movie, It’s a Wonderful Life. Like Bailey, Mikey has no idea of all the lives he has touched. What would the UNC site have been like without Mikey as the moderator for the last ten years? We will be extremely grateful if you can donate to help our friend. He’s a great guy.

By the way, Mikey almost banned me on the basketball side a few years ago. The man treats everyone the same. That's another reason why I respect the heck out of the man.

We appreciate the thoughts and prayers for Mike, but we need more people to reach in their pockets and make a contribution to help Mike. I know folks can spare $5 or $10 to help Mike. We have over 1,000 active members on Blitz and thus far we have only contributed $2,000 coming from about 20 people. Come on folks, we are better than this. Mikey has been a Moderator on this board for the past 10 years screening out trolls and he does it all for FREE. We sometimes takes for granted the work he does on this board for our enjoyment.
