Most Frustrating Heel You've Ever Rooted For

Given the timing of this thread, it's pretty clear who mine would be. I also remember being fairly frustrated with an early Isaiah Hicks, and obviously Larry Drew was a hot mess. I can't really remember, all the way back to 1980, anyone that came close to Caleb Love.

I played High School basketball with King Rice and have followed his career and rooted for the guy since then. King had some very rough times playing for UNC but looking at things from hindsight…the guy was a decent basketball player and had his moments. It was frustrating following his career because he was given some really hard times by UNC fans. Most notably, his senior year at home. UNC was playing Kentucky and the home fans booed him. The next home game, Dean had the players wear their Road uniforms. Classic Dean and King went on to have a good senior season and the Tar Heels went to the Final Four.

Nance and/or Leaky

At least Love gave us a good showing last March. Leaky did nothing for 5 years and Nance wasted a scholarship.

He really grew as a player, especially defensively. However, that guy caused a lot of problems on campus. I pull for guys who will take “no” for an answer from women.
