My breakfast

Man I went down to the Breakfast Station and got a garden omelette, 86'd the 'shrooms and added sausage (sausage grows in my garden, so...). Sides were home fries, crispy corned beef hash and white toast. Man, damn!

I love chorizo. I bet you can find good chorizo in Boston. Man I'll tear up some little egg and chorizo breakfast tacos.

Ya the delis in my area have some great chorizo, as well as kielbasa and linguica and similar meats. All go very well in omelettes or egg sandwiches.

Bought a pound of Neese's hot sausage today, just for sausage gravy biscuits tomorrow morning. A little scrambled eggs on the side, a big glass of milk and some strong black coffee. That's the way to start your day off.

BTW, saaaaaalute to Neese's for 100 years of making the best sausage in the south!

Nope! And not even close. Bass Farm Country sausage is where it's at.

Well there is plenty of Neese's in hell. I was going to ask God to give you a one day pass, but now I'm not so sure.
I imagine many of the posters on this forum are going to wind up there so we'll finally get to meet in person. Just to clarify, are you saying you don't like Neese's or that Bass Farm is just better? I've never seen Bass Farm in any of the local stores in North Carolina and it's made in this state. Where do you get it? As a sausage aficionado, I'd like to try it.

Neese's is good, I'll buy it when I run out of my stock of Bass. My dad gets me a bunch of Bass Farm every year around Christmas and sends it to me in a cooler of dry ice. Both their mild and hot ground is awesome and their dry is out of this world. I keep it in my deep freezer and usually run out by the summer. It's hard to find unless you live in the eastern/northeastern part of NC. The folks at Bass won't take it national, much less state-wide, because they don't want to compromise the freshness of it. They really believe in that and it pisses me off. So you have to find a place they sell it and get it from there. You can find it just about anywhere in Nash and Edgecombe county. When I lived in Wake county I could find it just about anywhere, though I'm not sure about that anymore because Yankees ruin everything.

Here is a map of their distribution area. You can call them (252-478-4147) as well and ask them what stores sell it near you and they will oblige.
