N.I.T. or stay home ?

Winning the ACCT would be awesome and I have seen enough to know we are capable. All we need to do is continue playing as hard as we have AND pay attention to the details to close out games. (hitting freethrows makes these details moot, but this may be a pipedream!) I can identify 2-3 plays in our last 7 games (minus Wake) that would have made the difference. Blocking out, remembering proper rotations, making simple passes, being in position, making a hustle play,and running the plays outlined during timeouts are a few of those small details. Last game if we don't make a silly moving screen foul and then block out on the next to last shot we win. For puke, simply foul AFTER they cross half court or block out the shooter or get on the floor for the loose ball = a win if we do either one!
Plug the damn holes in the boat and let's sail this team to a NIT championship. It is not too late is it ? Win remaining games and couple of tourney games . Then go win the game nit. Win 9 of last 10 games would make me feel better bout the season.
I would like to see us play in the CBI tournament. West Virginia played in it last year with a record of 14-20. They're having an outstanding season. It would be a terrific opportunity to learn how to win again
I believe the difference is that West Virginia returned almost their whole team from last year. Carolina is going to have very few faces on next years team that are on this years team.
Apparently, as of 2017 the NIT no longer requires that teams must be at least .500 to get invited. But I still don't see them letting us in at 14-19, 15-20 or something like that. And that's already assuming we split our final 4 games, and then make a little noise in the ACCT. Sad, sad, sad...
True. I'm just hoping that they can at least act like they care on senior night and beat wake this time.
