So @NoleSoup4U talked about his in a previous thread.

Has anyone else had one? I think my closest would be overdoing it with drugs in my wilder days. 20 hits of LSD and some xtc mixed in was fairly close. Or the meth we partied with one weekend. Had a few close calls driving before, but nothing that really stands out.

What ya got?

I'll add another one. I was driving back to Orlando from Daytona Beach one night. I had been up late playing cards for the last four or five days. I fell asleep at the wheel on I-4 and spun across the interstate and hit the middle barricade coming back home. I walked away without a scratch. I always pull off the interstate now if I start to feel a little tired.

I use to love me some Otown.

We frequented tons of raves back in the 90s from tampa to Gainesville and otown

I've had at least a couple. Hezbollah nearly killed me twice, but thanks to some divine intervention I'm still kickin'. They tried to blow me up the first time but the Big Guy had other plans.

Years later they had me dead to rights on a mountain in the Bekaa Valley but my life was saved by a guy I didn't even know. His sacrifice is the most heroic thing I've ever seen and I try every day to deserve what he gave me. It's all I can do.

He taught me something I'll never forget...fear is a reaction; courage is a choice. You just have to be willing to make it.

Yeah, I can't even imagine being in situations like that. My s*** seems pretty petty after this.

I lived in rural South Dakota (its almost all sticks / hicksville). Lived 22 miles from where I went to high school drove it every day. There was a lot of combination drinking, driving, sleep deprivation late night early morning. I think at least 1-2 kids from each class (of about 50-80 kids per class) that died in HS from drinking, driving, asleep at wheel.

After an after-prom party I drove home and fell asleep and went in ditch. Hit a big hole, woke up lying on the horn on the steering wheel, going really fast. Stopped just before hitting a major road embankment. Scared nearly to death.

The STUPID, dangerous stuff we did in high school - I would freak out (never nearly allow) if my kids tried to do it today. Amazing that more didn't end up dead or disabled.

We had an after prom party as well. They wouldn't allow us to leave till 7am. No provision for driving home. I fell asleep my self. What were people thinking back then

Odd that this topic came up. Yesterday was 38 years ago I was in a car wreck that easily could have killed me. I was riding in the back seat of a Chevy Vega Hatchback. Being teenagers, death doesnt present a fear cause we are invincible. We were riding around, doing stupid stuff....hanging out the window, throwing battles at road signs, etc. My friend, Bill, was driving and we went around a curve much faster than we should. He lost control of the car and slid into an embankment/ditch. The impact opened the hatchback and I was ejected. I remember I thought I was dreaming because everything seemed in slow motion. I hit the ground in the ditch and slid several yards in briars. I had 2 jackets on and they were torn to shreds. I had a concussion and had to wear sunglasses for several weeks. The car flipped and landed about 15 feet from me. Broke my right hand and arm in several places and had glass embedded in my hand. Actually wore a cast to Gator Bowl that year (South Carolina played Pitt...George Rogers won Heisman for SC). My mom told a few weeks later that she had a thought that something was gonna happen but let me go anyway because she knew I would be mad if she didnt.

Fell in a well on the farm when i was a toddler. Stuck for a day before they found me. Dont remember any of it though

Laying on the floor watching tv when i was around 5. My toddler little sister came in the room carrying scissors. She fell and stuck them right in my neck. Somehow missed my artery and esophagus. Mom was scared to pull em out so we drove to er with them stuck in my neck.

The closest though was in chapel hill. Waiting to cross the street there where that rock wall runs alongside the sidewalk downtown. The light changed so i took off. A bus was running the light and some girl grabbed me by my coat hood and yanked me back. The bus mirror grazed my head and left a scratch on my cheek. No doubt she saved my life.

Speaking Of wearing casts to the gator bowl. Lol. The year unc beat mich at the gator bowl 5 of us from granville towers went down to watch the game....in a vw bug...with one guy in the back with a broken leg in a cast who had to lay it across the laps of us in the back with him. Dont think we got over 50 mph. Partied hard with the fb team at the sheraton afterwards. Limped home broke af. Stopped at wendys and ate crackers off their condiment bar. Locked the keys in the bug and had to bust a window. So rest of drive was freezing as well as cramped. Ahhhh yes college days.
