Stackhouse was interviewed on ATL radio last year and they brought up that game --- and Stack said, "for some reason they keep rerunning that shot by Capel even though we won the damned game."
Yep... hell if they didn't have that and the Laettner UK clip they'd have to go out of business
I remember the game well. I was in Ham's on (Aycock and Market St.) in Greensboro with my good buddy who is as big of a duke fan as there is. He went apeshit when Capel hit that shot and ran through Ham's yelling and screaming. He even sat down at someone else's table and starting pounding beer straight from the pitcher. I ran up a tab of well over $100 that night and didn't have but $20-$30. I ended up convincing a friend of mine to pay for it. And then I went back to her dorm room and banged her out. Good times.
I also remember that Jerry and Rasheed had a party at the rim that night. Every time I looked up one of them was dunking on an unsuspecting dukie.

Talk about a tough minded team! Rasheed didn't even play in the OT, it was slightly cooler than Mercury at H.I.S., the Dookies were loud, and the Heels still found a way to win this game!
It kills me everytime I see the highlight of capel hitting that shot, and how "infamous" it has become........congrats on the participation award... wasn't even the best highlight of the game
