New Big Baller Shoe debuts

Goodness, the shoe looks like Skechers too. I hope no one buys it.

I have nothing against Lonzo, but LaVar is everything I can't stand. He might make a lot of money, but he is pathetic. As someone who has dealt with destructive family members, I hope Lonzo and co can break away from their Big Baller(tm) father.

We as a nation are so obsessed with getting things nobody else have we over pay for everything! 500 x 20000 = 10000000!

FYI: Nobody wants cheap crap! We get it because that is what we can afford. There is a large population that can afford. Nobody mad that PS2 and all this gaming crap is 500 bucks.

Unfortunately there's alot of truth to this.

With all your knowledge please inform me how selling a shoe works? "Supply and demand". I promise you there is a demand. Lavar executing in delivering a product will all depend on the demand, and from what I see he is doing everything possible to generate more.

Race, I'll back off that! Lavar has enough attention, but will visit that topic again on other board.

Lavar is aggravating, but he is taking his best shot.

Take all the successful pro UNC basketball players and asked them if they knew they were going to be famous would they sign that same contract or do it themselves? The answer may surprise you.

The Ball's are banking on themselves. People complain all darn day about, they would do crap different if.. if... If..

Hats off to this new idea. Don't assume you know what I know, because with a real brother like Lavar your playing into his hands.

The Ball's have the Bal--. To turn down millions from Nike, and some how we are almost mad at this idea he wants to do it himself.

I am actually one who thinks Lonzo Ball is going to be really good, if he lands in Philly and Ben Simmons is balling and Lonzo's loud mouth pops is bragging on his son all day on social media. Those ZO2's will be under Christmas trees in the hood all over America.

New day has arrived for sneaker companies because no big basketball company has done crap without the players (Converse can debate that).
Seriously dude, it's so much more than supply and demand. He could have gotten paid for a few years to learn how the business works and then went out on his own. He's screwing himself, but hopefully his son realize it before his dad spends all of his money

Three sons.

Are you kidding me it "doomed"?!

I will be 41 in next three days so I have given up the notion that I am cool or somehow understand 19 year old kids.

This is what I do know. We as a nation are so obsessed with getting things nobody else have we over pay for everything! 500 x 20000 = 10000000!

If you go to a lending institution and show them that number. They take you to an undisclosed location and you have a business!

Mark my words he would get paid on Shark Tank.

FYI: Nobody wants cheap crap! We get it because that is what we can afford. There is a large population that can afford. Nobody mad that PS2 and all this gaming crap is 500 bucks.
3 sons doesn't equal 3 chances , that's azzinine. High price doesn't mean it's not cheap crap. Maybe he should have tried Shark Tank.

I don't pretend to know what kids like these days, so it's entirely possible that he will sell a good number of his shoes. And honestly, I don't have a problem with someone trying to buck the trend and do this on his own (even though it's possible Ball could've teamed up with a big name partner if he didn't keep spewing diarrhea every time he opens his mouth). All that being said, I don't see the need to charge so damn much for the shoes especially since he's doing it solo. And to top it off, calling folks out if they say they cost too much! Dude is living in a fantasy world inside his own head.

Never more than "supply and demand", but I understand you think him and his sons are making the shoes in there garage. With the price this crazy man is charging he can find someone to make a shoe.

To accuse someone of stealing when nothing indicates he is taking anything is well (you know).

Three D1 talents does equal three chances to debate that is just practice for a real debate.

"High price doesn't mean cheap crap" That statement in itself is wrong, but I understand it still can be crap. Just not "cheap'.

No Kevin Knox so time for break from board for a little.

UNC 2017 National Champs!

I am all for overpricing things to create appeal to a certain population (the exclusivity of a $200 polo from Burberry, overpricing business class, etc.)...I don't like the idea creating such a affordability dilemma for kids. I never liked it during the Air Jordan era, but the Balls have taken it to a whole different level.

You know LaVar has to embarrass his kids. The family could have made millions off of a Nike, or Adidas, shoe deal. Along with all of their promotion that drives the image even more. And don't forget that Lorenzo looked very mediocre on the big stage against Kentucky. This could easily backfire massively. LaVar isn't a likeable guy mostly because he is making it all about him. Shoes are not very attractive and vastly overpriced. But there may be a market for it if he can tap into a certain market that will want to identify with a black shoe maker while at the same time allowing them to show everyone in their world that they can afford the shoes. But mainstream the shoes will be a flop.

It's always more than supply and demand. Anyone who has even a basic understanding of business knows this. I never said anyone was stealing either.

This is just for argument sake, again we agree that Lavar Ball we see and hear from is obnoxious.

Were we do not agree is the business of doing things yourself in the end has a bigger reward. Bigger chance of failure also.

I'm not rich, and not trying to bring the Ball situation as my own, but once an employer told me I was only worth 15 bucks an HR, and if I wanted more I needed to own my own as he laughed at me because at that I had more than nothing ( in debt to my neck).

When I left 4 years ago my family and friends privately said I was stupid and cost myself a "solid living". They seemed to be right at first, but I had a plan.

1. Draw attention to what I was doing.
2. Sorry to say overcharged as compared to other in my biz (had too most of work got out sourced)
3. When my clients grew I went to a bank and showed them all my clients already signed up and they gave me a loan.
4. Bought the equipment I lacked and reduced my price because now I have everything in house at a competitive price.

In the past two years I have been approached at least 4 different times with people trying to buy my business. When I give my price people laugh and ask why? My response is always the same. My company has zero debt and brings in 300,000 a year for past 3 years.

Now I use the same philosophy as Lavar and thousands of other small businesses "I will work with you, but not for you".

Don't know if Big Baller will work, but I will bet on myself before I take what amounts to crums from anybody!

Sorry about stealing comment, I read some bodies response about Lavar making his son broke or missing out on money and that just ain't true. The Balls are betting on themselves. I wish more athletes would take control of there business.

Yes Ladies and Gentlemen. He actually just F'ing said this:

LaVar Ball: Michael Jordan can't command $495 for shoes because 'he ain't Lonzo Ball!'

The Apocalypse is upon us!

Well, guess he doesn't know much about Jordan, because his shoes sell for that much. The difference is he has shoes that are more affordable as well. The secondary market for some of his shoes can make the Ball shoes look cheap. People stand in line hours before the stores open to buy his shoes. I read an article the other day saying Ball sold a few hundred pair in the first day. Jordan does that in a few minutes.

This cat has to be most annoying person in the spotlight at the moment. He's taken over the Kardashian clan for that. Thing is, I think he knows he full of sheyot and dumba$$ people will still buy this crap.
