Next Head Football Coach

From SECrant

UNC is one of the few schools left who can write their ticket to whichever conference they desire. They have money but they've also long put football on the backburner. But, the money is so immense in college football now they can no longer pass up football money. Also, remember UNC has been lockstep with Clemson and FSU trying to end the grant of rights deal. UNC can no longer be a basketball school. To continue to do so is financially irresponsible.

UNC could've hired Sumrall but Sumrall isn't one of the most famous coaches in the world. Belichick can modernize and revolutionize UNC football by generating the interest and most importantly the financial support UNC will need to push their football program to the Power 2 level.

Hats off to the new Leaders at UNC…..

UNC actually giving 100% support for BIG football can lead the ACC to greater football heights than ever and thus also better TV money. There is ji need to join either SEC or BT if Uncle leads the ACC in football improvement and secures a better TV deal for the ACC.

I do think that for the ACC to ever get significantly more TV money, it must also cut out dead weight and replace with large state schools that have built in fan bases. Wake had go. So duo BC and Syracuse, and not just because they are privatw schools. The upper Northeast off NY and New England simply is all but dead for CFB - very few fans, and almost none except for ND and PSU. and even fewer top[ recruits, many fewer, too few to staff even Rutgers much less also BC and Syracuse. Cut out that dead region.

Replace those 3 with Utah, Arizona, and Arizona - all very large AAU state schools. That way, the Big 12 will be reduced wlel below Major, and then the ACC would have al 3 schools in MT that are in a P3. As all 3 have large numbers of alums and families of students living in CA, they would make having Calford much more valuable. Then secure findings to go to 20. Add WVU and CInmcy from ET. WVU is both flagship and L:and Grant and has VERY passionate Fons that travel very well. WVU-Pitt and WVU-VT are both very hot rivalries that show well on TV. Cincy is a large state U that is the #2 CFB program in OH,, a large and wealthy state that produces every year the 5th most D1 football talent (behind TX, CA, FL, and GA). Cincy iOS Louisville's most played rival in both revenue sports and geographically is natural rival to both Pitt and WVU. Finally I would add Texas Tech. It is the #3 school in TX in football attendance, and the TV market that has the largest number of TTU alums is DFW. TTU alums plus SMU would mean the ACC has a real presence in DFW, which itself will produce considerably more talent than all the upper northeast.

The ACC then would become the only conference to have at least 1 team in each of the 5 states that produce the most football talent: FL, GA. OH, TX, and CA. That would be something to promote, year after year.

So consider this

Arch manning. Don’t laugh, he won’t be starting for tx next year since ewers is prob coming back. His dad has been vocal he wants him to play for the cowboys after next season so he has to get some play time and there’s rumblings the mannings are unhappy with arch only getting one snap in the championship game. Belichick and the mannings are pals. If ewers does decide to leave that changes things of course. Also Mississippi wants him bad.

The ACC messed up a long time ago…When FSU came into the league Penn State wanted to as well and the Basketball only eleite of the ACC said no…The ACC has never been proactive always reactive…

Should have took West Virginia instead Boston College…The league would look like this if it was my choice today…

Penn State
West Virginia
Va Tech
Cincinnati
UVA
UNC
dook
Wake
West Raleigh
Clemson
Ga Tech
Miami
FSU
Notre Dame full member not this bs the ACC did
SMU
Pittsburgh
Louisville
Maryland never leaves

I am not a fan of Cal and Stanford simply because of the money it’s going to cost the programs just on travel alone…
