NFL Playoffs

peyton's last game of his career is next week...he looks 60 years old.

and i'll give it up now, the panthers are better than i gave them credit for...they'll be tough to beat if they can run it like this, wow.

i still can't believe that finish last night.

15-1 wasn't enough? Statements like that are why the Panthers have been as good as they've been all year. They feed off of it and continue to. I just can't understand why people still doubt them.

Theres a better chance that Moo beats Dook in their upcoming game
Peyton won't out duel Brady for sure. But the Broncos D is pretty good. If they can run the ball and get some turnovers... Hey wait a minute, Denver did beat them earlier this year too, didn't they? I think it will be a good game. How fitting that what might be Manning's last game is against Brady.

So the packers have been in 4 of prob the 10 wierdest games of recent memory and have lost 3 of them
Fail mary vs seahawks
Nfc champ vs seahawks
Playoffs vs cardinals
Hail mary vs lions

Yep, and Seahawks have a way of pulling those kinds of games outta their arse. The two you mentioned above plus the game over Detroit this year where the dude illegally knocked the ball out of the end zone, plus the win over the Vikings last week that they had no business winning. Suffice it to say that I was pretty much expecting them to get the onside kick, tie the game and win in overtime today.

Denver had a better QB in the first matchup this year. If they insist on trotting manning out instead of osweiler, they might not fare as well.

As a Panthers fan, I must say that I'm pretty nervous about the NFC Championship game. If Palmer has time in the pocket, he's liable to pick apart Carolina's depleted secondary with the good receivers that they have. Panthers have got to get pressure on him, and make him very uncomfortable... (where's Ryan Lindley when you need him? LOL). Hopefully the Panthers run the ball well, chew up clock with long scoring drives and stay fresh enough on D to collapse the Cardinal's pocket consistently. Their run game hasn't been too good lately, so that might not hurt Panthers too much.

As for Brady - Manning XVII, I would prefer the Broncos win, but don't think Peyton's got it in him if the game becomes a shootout ... (that sounds weird to say, but it's today's reality). Denver's running game, defense, and possibly special teams will need to pull this one out.

The spread is Patriots -4 now, and I think they're a good bet to cover that as the game stands now. I'd be willing to bet the spread would be a pick 'em, if not Broncos favored, if Brock Osweiler were starting instead of Manning (betting on what a spread would be... that's like next level gambling right there, haha). That's what it's come to for the Broncos at this point, they need to play the legend, even though ol' noodle arm can't throw the ball anymore.

the cardinals take more chances down the field than anyone in the league...imo, that will serve them well here...it can also create opp for turnovers and many 3 and outs...the cardinals need to figure out how to run the ball, somehow...you better be balanced or their defense will suck you into making mistakes.

patriots win the other one...not even sure it's close.

Of course, ESPN will hype up that this could be Manning's last game, and the whole world will want to see that happen. Probably be a lot of Panthers hating for that reason.

NE was able to pressure Manning and the Panthers are FAR better across the d-line. Manning might be forcibly retired.

Took the dogs for a walk with the Panthers on their own 13 yard line. Got to the end of the driveway and my wife calls out the door, "Panthers touchdown!"

Took the dogs for a walk with the Panthers up 42-15 and kicking off. Got a bit farther down the street and my wife calls out the door, "Panthers touchdown!"

Gonna be walking the dogs a lot in two weeks.
