as grad transfer with 2 years eligibility left.

Supposedly he is considering Dook, with no mention of GT. GT is the most wide open QB job in a P5 because of the PJ flexbone. Every QB PJ had was brought in to run the ball and pitch it on options.

And Josh Jackson is exploring leaving VT. Perhaps he just wants to be given the starting job before Spring.

The catch is, Willis runs much better than anyone expected and still has upside in the passing game. Hooker will be a 3rd year Soph with potential. Jackson, unless he is fully healthy for Spring and mentally 100%, and has spent time learning more about the intricacies of playing QB in that offense, could find himself 3rd team heading into Fall Camp.

When does it end?
I think we will see this kind of movement from now on.

In the RB part of it, Ty'Son Williams is on the move again for his 5th year. I wonder if he wants to step down from a P5 to be the one and only RB, rather to share carries and play fewer than 50% of the downs.

there are a crap-ton of solid-looking QBs in the transfer portal. Where were all these guys the yr we wound up fighting over Brandon Harris and Malik Rozier? Meanwhile, NCSU gets Bailey Hockman one yr, Dook was flirting with Austin Kendall to help replace the early departure of Daniel Jones.

This is basically free agency for college athletics. Meanwhile, Emmert is doing everything he can make us believe that "amateurism" still exists today.

Hendon Hooker is now leaving VT.

Doesn't Wiilis have just 1 more year of eligibility? If so, Hooker should have been fighting to replace him. Is Hooker leaving because Fuente is looking more for proven passers to play QB and less at 230 athletes who may have passing game weaknesses? Or is VT bringing in a hotshot, or sleeper, QB recruit that Fuente already seems to like? Or does Hooker have a sense of entitlement like Josh Jackson, who has said he felt disrespected because he was not given the starting job for next year - he would have to earn it like Willis.

Players with a sense of entitlement who get what they basically demand can cause deadly poison to spread in a program. That goes double for QBs.

Shane Beuchele is leaving Texas as a grad transfer with 2 years eligibility left. He could be a major prize for a program with real QB needs that may extend into 2020.

Whichever school gets Beuchele, I'm sure their current QB will be the next to transfer

I wonder if some gambler has set up a pool to bet on where QBs will transfer and then which new QB transfers will come from it.

He's headed to SMU. The SMU QB whop started 2 years ago under Chad Morris lost his starting job last year. He now is headed to Arkansas to rejoin with Morris.

This is getting to be like a soap opera.

Starkel will bean Arkansas Razorback. That means that the SMU QB who started for Morris in 2017 will be a grad transfer SR Hawg QB this fall, while Starkel will be a grad transfer JR Hawg QB.

I think Arkansas will pass more effectively in 2019 than in 2018.
