weather delay...course looks more difficult than in 07, but the rain will help guys today, maybe.

you can make predictions still this early...so, fire it up.

spieth -3

Spieth 6-3 , 4-6 , 6-2 , 6-1.

I LOL

Its hard to pick against Jordan . . I'll go Speith -7.

Hey, whatever happened to Keysersosay . . ? He was starting these golf threads . . ? Did somebody piss him off or wut . . ?

-7, -5...? WTF? No way people go that low this week at Oakmont which has the second highest (2007) and third highest (1983) scores in relation to par of all majors in the last 35 years.

McIlroy
Reed
Scott

Darkhorse: J.B. Holmes

winning score: even par

someone is going low in the morning...there's a 65 out there tomorrow.

as far as saturday, it'll be another awesome grind.

Hoping DJ can have a good Sunday and pull out the win. I can see Lowry shooting 3-4 over so if DJ can stay close to even par I think he'll pull it out.

I dunno. Lowry is on fire and he has the advantage of not having to sleep on his lead. I expect him to do no worse than 1 over, which means that DJ will be about 5 under for his round when he hits 18 and notches his triple to lose.

You could be totally right. Lowry is on fire I just don't see him maintaining it. This course is a bitch (I'm sure you already know that) and a couple missed fairways and its bogey-double bogey waiting to happen. I think I saw a stat where the fields average drive distance this week was like 280. DJs is 320. It's flawed bc most are taking irons-woods off the tee being cautious about not going in the rough. DJ can control his drive and if his putter keeps working like it is I'll still take him at the end of the day. -5 from DJ wouldn't surprise me in the least. Should be a fun day either way. (BTW are you trying a reverse jinx??)

No reverse jinx. I have seen DJ piss away too many times to think he won't do it. Plus, I don't really like the guy- would rather seen anyone on the leaderboard win but him.

It is so nice to watch a US Open without Johnny Miller's commentary.

And given that it's Oakmont, he would be even more insufferable than usual.

Right on cue, Lowry bogies and DJ birdies.

Looks like Westwood is going the wrong way, although I'm not shedding tears at Landry going the same way.

A lot of other players taking to Twitter to rip USGA for ruling and handling of situation. Obviously didn't matter but going to be interesting!!!
