I haven't seen Moses Malone or Darrell Dawkins recently but if a kid thinks he can go to the NBA straight out of HS go on then bro.
We discuss this every season (it seems), let the kids go league if they so desire, if they fail go home to Mom & Dad or overseas.
If you commit to a school how about sticking around to learn the game.

Haven't watched Karl-Anthony Towns play? He didn't need a year or college nor do several of these kids. They are the minority, but there are plenty

Whether the game is better or worse is not a quantitative question. --- it's a qualitative question (although the difference might stress your limited reasoning abilities), ergo the only "evidence" is the eye test. He's welcome to see it his way and I mine, and that's what I posted.

Baseball will draft kids straight out of high school because they have A/AA/AAA farm teams to season and evaluate them before offering them big money. The NFL uses colleges to evaluate and develop their recruits, hence the reason a young man has to be 3 years removed from high school before he's eligible to be drafted. The NBA has a rudimentary farm system in the NBDL. But they have traditionally relied on college play to evaluate potential draft picks. They got tired of risking tons of money on untested high school seniors, so they instated the 1 year removed rule. I think it highly likely that they may amend it to 2 years removed from high school.

Regardless, the ball is completely in their hands, not the hands of the NCAA, the coaches, nor the players.

I ddn't insult gaucho and have no issue with him. We just happened to disagree on a qualitative assessment. It happens.
