hate this bs...carolina is just weak minded, no killer instinct.

Ugly game to say the least. Good win against an average dook team. We looked lost most of the second half, but managed to hang on. Dook tearing the nets up in the last few minutes. I think the key to the game was the overturned call. Had that been off our guys, it would have changed the dynamics of the last push for dook. But I'll also take an ugly win for the regular season championship...PS roy called timeouts this game.
Is it bad that we just beat Duke but I don't really feel anything?
Nice for Marcus to be the one to seal the win for us with the free throws.

Just felt like we should have swept this mediocre team. Oh well, I feel a lot better than I did last time, so there's that.
Dook shot 38% from 3. We were 17. Hell, we were 35 overall.
Just think how bad we could have beaten them
If we shot 40%.
This, I think, was a big game for us. We won, against Dook, playing like ass. I'm feeling significantly more optimistic about tourney than I was at 6pm
I've dogged this team all season but I'm proud of them tonight. Winning the ACC regular season is a great accomplishment, regardless of unbalanced schedule, parity of league, etc.
This game was frustrating and ugly and we still have a lot to correct....but I'll take this one and run. I'm not super elated like I would be in seasons past, but I'm still happy. Good work Heels! Now let's make some noise in the ACCT.

My plans got pushed back so I ended up having to watch it.
Only had a couple cussing sprees during the game....
I'm right there with you. It's more relief than elation tonight because of game one. If we had won that one, I'd be a lot happier after tonight's win.....Idk if that makes sense.
I'm not trying to give too many props to dook, but I don't think they are mediocre. I think FSU is mediocre. Syracuse is mediocre. Duke is maybe more mediocre by comparison to some of their teams. But, as much as I dislike that team, that coach can get those kids into Myrmidon-mode every game. There's some very fine talent on that team.
This game did prove to me that we can win. We have had a few this season. They definitely improved since the last game with dook. Overcoming them in HIS is always a big thing. I still feel we could have been better, but glad they put it together. We control our own fate so I say roll em out and play. Marcus, we need you now like batman.
I want a win against UVa now. UVa is evolving into the best all around ACC team year-in-and-year-out. Their home streak is dominating. Bennett is young, too. He's going to bring UVa their first NCAA win one day.
Play of the game: vanilla whip flops on a missed 3, and Marcus gets the run-out layup because the little douche wasn't back on D! Haha. Allen has such a punch able puss-face.

The team seemed so thrilled they finally won something substantial. I mean, almost like they just won it all and the season is over. I think that plays one of two ways. Hopefully, it kind of takes the pressure off and loosens them up. I actually think that is more likely than them coasting because they are content.

Roy deserves credit for not trolling us last night. He not only called timeouts, but also kept the rotation to only 8 guys: the starting 5 plus Britt, Pinson, and Hicks. I'm a little disappointed that Hicks only got 9 minutes but Captain Twinkie was actually pretty effective out there (double double). By the way, JBII with 0 assists and 1 TO, NB with 3 assists and 0 turnovers in 12 minutes. JBII was clutch at the FT line though.
So last night was supposed to be boys night out. I was just going to record the game and watch later, but everybody got sick and cancelled. I ended up home for the game but decided not to watch live anyway. Glad I didn't. That was a frustrating game even though I already knew the outcome. I'll take it.
Hicks picked up 4 fouls and 2 turnovers in his 9 minutes. Dude had a rough night.
I bet he is so motivated to have a killer game this upcoming Thursday (Syracuse or Pitt . . ? )
Yeah, and his shots were about as accurate as HeelsNoir in a political thread. Hicks had his worst game of the season last night, all the way around.
