As much as Forrest Gump being eliminated sucks, I can live with it since LOTR was wiped out in the first round.

I'm sure there are movies in this tournament that you'd be even more blown away to learn that I hadn't seen.
I just hope that I've seen one of the ones that makes the Final Four.
Well, it's a formula that weights Oscar wins/nominations, IMDB rating, and Rotten Tomatoes score. So my thinking was success in the industry, success with fans, and success with critics basically. I used this same formula for seeding if movies had the same number of nominations. Forrest was hurt by its RT score, which was significantly lower than pretty much anything else in the region (Forrest was a 71, almost everything else was in the 90s). It's probably not perfect, but I also figure it's an impartial way to do it instead of me just picking. As a result, in our two tiebreaks thus far, one has advanced that I voted for, and one has not. With that said, I'm happy with Shawshank since I love that movie too. I just have a slight personal edge towards Forrest.
