first of all, the Federal Reserve is like existentialism...no one really understands what it is supposed to be and how it works. But Trump isn't the only one who has challenged the FR, and I seriously doubt he's the only one who wants to, but doesn't know how to, go about restructuring it or doing away with it. That doesn't mean to me that it should be left to carry on as usual. Powerful institutions that affect our lives and operate so independently are boogeymen to me.
I have tried in the past to understand its workings beyond a general sense, and I have come closer to inventing a cold fusion process that works.

Ignoring them is a cop out, to me. It's your choice if you don't want to have to be bothered with them. I think many of them come here because it's one of the few places that their racist and or bigoted views are normalized or tolerated. It's not something they can do out in public. They hate anything that they don't understand or they believe is abnormal. If they don't understand it, it's a threat to whatever traditional idea of society they believe is at stake. A lot of it's patriarchy. Scared to death that old white guys might lose some leverage. And they are losing it. It's slow, but it's constant. What you resist persists. So they tell me.
