Finally... a fair election! January 6th, 2025 will not have a MAGA insurrection! Looks like Harris is going to lose...

NC can still swing hard back the other way with so many uncounted votes in Charlotte. If she gets NC I think she wins.

NC still has a lot of uncounted votes coming from blue counties, Mecklenburg in particular.
Naive question... did a google search... will there be mail-in ballot counting after the election day ballot-counts are reported? If so, then anything is still possible? Maybe each state has different rules.

Varies by state I think. I know PA was dropping a big batch with their early results. Not sure about NC

To me it still looks like trump. It’s gonna be razor thin in several critical states but the paths for Harris are dwindling down to the blue wall only and trump has a good lead in pa and a small one in wisc. I’d much rather be trump than her right now. I don’t think it’s gonna be resolved for sure tonight though.

This is how I see it too

Don’t worry guys the sprinter vans full of mail in ballots are on the way

If ignorance is no excuse then there's plenty of brown and Latino men (based on exit polls), and low-income white folks, that deserve all the shit coming to them.

Feels like some sexism is at play.

Democrats keep insisting on running corporate approved establishment candidates in an age of political populism. The base is moving away from the party and they refuse to adapt.

That too. How they couldn't find someone better than Biden in 2020 is certainly a sign, and that the he didn't step down til 3 months ago is another.

Trumps lead in wisc is growing. John king just declared it “mission improbable” for Harris. She’s circling the drain.
Are they mentioning mirages?
At 4:42 a.m. ET on election night 2020, Milwaukee reported that Biden had received 85% of its 168,000 mail ballots. This caused Biden’s statewide total to increase from 47.3% to 49.3%.

Feels a little early to call Mich or Wisconsin.

They'll change after this and win the next two because Trump will be so bad. If Harris would have won, then Republicans would have changed and won the next two because Harris would have been so bad. That's a storyline that no one really discussed. This election decided the next two.

Some crazy downballot stuff happening eh? Dems might flip the house, it's close. NC Gov, AG, and plenty of other libs winning while Trump also wins - how does that happen? Who voted Trump and then voted Jeff Jackson over Dan Bishop???

Nikki Haley would have wrapped this thing up by 8:15 eastern.
I dunno... @tarheel0910 makes a good point... this is a very populist-popular time in America. Hillary lost in 2016 because Bernie capitulated. She was a bonafide bought-and-sold politician. I think Biden won because of how bad Trump handled Covid, and it freaked a lot of people out. The democrats are all-in on establishment politicians.

Nikki Haley is Kamala with an R... at best. Trump stomped her for a reason.

Oh, and democrats pimping-out millionaire and billionaire pop-culture celebrities doesn't help their cause, either. Poor people give less-than-a-shit about Beyonce and Harrison Ford.

I think this is a good point but I still have a hard time believing the Democrats will adapt. I think a lot of them still believe Hillary was the right choice in 2016.

Appears that way. Big cities report late in those blue wall trio though, that's the only hope.
My HOPE is that the MAGA's realize that they did lose in 2020, but I doubt it will make a difference. Trump won't ever get beyond the fact that he lost that election.

When they kicked Bernie to the curb, a lot of the people said "Eff-U" to that party.

Other than you saying I made a good point, you're wrong.

That is exactly what happened, and a shocking number of those people now support Trump because they think he’s speaking truth to power.
Well... the democratic party doesn't offer them any alternative.

And, frankly, when I found myself on the same side as Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney? I felt dirty. So, I'm not all that upset if Harris loses, especially from that perspective.

They'll adapt just like they did after Bush won in 2004. I see them getting more traditional and less liberal. They won't complete go away from the liberal side, but people like AOC will be ignored. Republicans won't change, which means they'll still have too much of the fringe in their platform. Kinda sucks, because they have some candidates that I might be willing to vote for.
