I agree with #1... a once-in-a-lifetime global pandemic has a huge impact. Trump fumbled the ball when the shit-hit-the-fan... he lost the election as a result.A minor point but the post is dishonest in the sense that the graph doesn't start at zero, and therefore exaggerates the 2020 difference.
That doesn't change the fact that 2020 is an outlier.
What was different about 2020? Two obvious things:
1. COVID. Most levels of government went out of their way to make it easier to vote. Circumventing some of the traditional suppression tactics.
2. Biden was probably the only sincere pro-labor candidate in the last half century (not counting Bernie).
#2 ? If you say so. Democrats have lost the working class, in my opinion.
