And, while the debate rages on back and forth, there is an aspect of all these pardons (from both sides) that has been vastly overlooked.
Often during court testimony, questioning by authorities, or other investigations, a person to whom an inquiry is imposed may simply decline to answer asserting that it would violate their rights to not self-incriminate. You'll often see a co-defendant who is granted immunity by the prosecution so that they can then freely offer testimony against the remaining defendants.
With the pardons, it means that people like Liz Cheney can be drug before a committee, placed under oath, and fully questioned about her role on the J6 tv production. It means that Dr. Ouchi can be fully questioned about his funding and cover-up of the gain of function situation.
And here's the kicker: IF they lie while under oath about those things (and it can be proven), the pardons do not protect them. . . . .

I didn't know about this until I saw your post and checked it out. THANKFULLY, the Donald Trump that we voted for won't turn this into a political maneuver or politically-motivated bending of the knee...he'll just do what he set out to do to begin with. BUT, there is a vast army of soft-headed liberal boneheads and politically-motivated leftists who will feed off of these incidents to throw as much of a monkey wrench into the works as is possible, goaded on by the insidious leftist media. You can count on that as well.
I am waiting to see if the level of obstruction thrown up in this term matches that of his first term. We have already seen that the left isn't taking any hints, so there's no reason to think that moderation might be applied.

here is the point I tried to get across to one of the usuals, but expressed much more effectively. You can't judge the past by today's standards. Not hard to understand, but none are so blind as those who will not see. And those who are compelled to virtue-signal often need to turn a blind eye to the simple truth in order to do so.
Behavior and practices we consider to be unacceptable now were not necessarily considered unacceptable in the past. Mores change as cultures mature. Cultures mature when populations increase and greater communication develops accordingly, allowing more ideas to be exchanged. That happens over time.

Maybe the FBI needs to investigate Brown for violating Civil Rights laws too when the Air Force had a secret program to make it harder for white males to get AFROTC scholarships over "minorities." You see there are too many "crackers" in the Air Force for him, the racist POS. I believe the slides I saw said "WHITE ROTC."
Someone should tell that racist POS that whites accounted for +70% of those killed in OIF and OEF....

This is why I used to tell our resident changeling carolinablue (can't recall the exact handle) that I wasn't against any individual who crosses over but that I was adamantly against the condition being promoted in any way and to any audience, but most especially children. Glad to see Trump and Homon sending those fuggin POS back to whatever shithole country they came from. On another board about politics, several members said there are less illegals in the country now than there was in 2007 and used the Pew Center for his ridiculous assertion. Pew does show there are less according to their numbers. I said there is no fuggin way Pew can keep up with how many illegals are in the country at the rate they've been crossing. Seems every time a disagreement comes up, they always use Pew as their go to for 'up to date' information.
