OOTB's Political Thread . ..

“We’ll get Greenland. Yeah, 100%,”

"No, I never take military force off the table. But I think there's a good possibility that we could do it without military force," Trump said. "We have an obligation to protect the world. This is world peace, this is international security. And I have that obligation while I'm president. No, I don't take anything off the table."

I guess this is just one of those examples where we shouldn’t take him seriously? Who knew him being completely full of shit could be used as a defense for all of the dumb shit he says.
We are not invading Greenland, we already have a Space Force Base there. I am currently at its twin in Alaska doing cyber test until tomorrow. We bought Alaska from russia...see how that works.

Scumbag murkowski has a commercial in Alaska pushing green energy jobs. It claims 400 jobs in AK rely on green energy now compare that to the oil and gas jobs in AK. Yeah the POS is taking bribes from eco terrorist groups.

They must rig the election in Anchorage to elect her.

Dems have a much lower approval rate with their own base than republicans do… So the idea that democrats/liberals are the ones blindly following the party line makes zero sense. I didn’t see liberals claiming that anyone who criticized Biden was deranged. I roasted him pretty hard myself, right here in this thread.
Your argument, as a liberal, is accordingly based on presumption and denial.

Thanks for making my point. Dems say one thing in a meaningless poll but would elect a transgender crash-test dummy if that ended up being the dem offering, and one shouldn't be too surprised if that actually happened. As I pointed out, they were not far behind in popular vote in supporting that nitwit Kamala Harris. But I'm sure you spent a lot of time protesting her presidential bid, and I imagine you wouldn't have voted for Biden given all that massive criticism you heaped upon him. LOL.

You didn't see liberals claiming derangement because there was no one on this side so deranged by any person as to obsess on him so personally and absurdly as to try to hound him out of politics and ruin his life. C'mon dude. You can't sensibly deny it.

If Biden had gone around talking about a third term I would’ve shit all over him. But we won’t hear a peep of criticism from MAGA land because of the blind devotion, and obsession with him and trolling people you disagree with. Most of you would gladly support Trump making a mockery of the constitution and running for a third term just because you think it would piss off liberals. Be careful what you wish for.
If Biden had sought a third term you would have shit on him, you say. I'll take your word for that. But if obama or Bill Clinton had proposed a third term, most dems would have danced in the streets in a show of approval. In any case, it's entertaining to see the usuals go so apeshit over what someone says who they should know by now is just talking shit. That's what he does. WE know it, why don't you? Oh that's right, it's that derangement thing isn't it?

But if there was a way...and you don't know there isn't some end around...to legitimately claim a third go, why would he deny interest if he is in fact interested? As expected, even such an innocent utterance as expressing interest in something is cause for a meltdown of the deranged. The simple truth is that such leftist meltdowns are only because he isn't YOUR guy.

So anyway, did you notice anything funny about your post? Let me help. I was taking Maher to task for not distancing himself more completely from the dems in spite of his objections to them, not because he's against republican views but mostly because he's deranged by and obsessed with Trump. Re-read your post and see if you can see who else is oblivious to their obsession with him. LMAO. The TDS is an insidious affliction.

This is merely a reflection of the ass whipping you took in November and the continued beatings Trump has handed out since he got in office. The amount of winning has come at a dizzying pace. The Dems response has been to largely double and triple down on the idiocy that got Orange elected in the first place.

Climate change is real and we should do anything to support the movement, except we are gonna burn and shoot up the man/company who is the largest innovator in the field of moving away from fossil fuels (simply because he is now supportive of orange hitler). We are against rounding up criminals who have murdered, raped little kids, etc. who came here illegally and snuck into our country to do the same here and want them to stay rather than returning them to their own countries to do what they do. We want boys to play in girls' sports.

We are going to insist that proper resistance to our duly elected president's policies is to use violence and threats against the opposition or anyone who stands in the way of our agenda regardless of what the electorate told us. We think it's cool to now use a multitude of cuss words in our stump speeches and sound bites (despite us constantly picking on and speaking about our president being "unpresidential" and making mean tweets). And on and on.

If someone in the D party with a lick of common sense would emerge, and not be afraid of the extreme progressive left, things may change. But just keep doing what you've been doing for the last four years and that self-approval rating will continue to crater.

Remember how conservatives used to get all upset about the idea of a North American nation. And yet here is Trump angling to expand to include Canada and Greenland and Panama. Sure, there's a bit of head-scratching on the right, but is there any pushback?

The pushback is to your propagandized narrative versus the reality of what's really going on. Keep grasping at straws.

Lol it's funny watching you tout yourself as being objective and yet you're not intellectually capable of honestly engaging with anyone that disagrees with you. You're regurgitating bullshit, broad sweeping generalizations to try and straw man the views of over half the country. If you seriously believe that only a deranged person would dare to criticize your dear leader, then you've completely lost your damn mind. You think people are "obsessed" with him but the reality is that he spews bullshit out of his mouth so fast that even his harshest critics can't keep up.

Obama and Clinton never would have made references to pursuing a third term, because despite their flaws, they were at least somewhat measured in their speech. Would their supporters have backed them pursuing another term? We'll never know. Do Trump's supporters back him pursuing a third term? Well, the rally of his people chanting for it pretty much clears that right up.

Nobody on that side is deranged? Really?

Obviously you've completely forgotten the Obama years. When right wing, dipshit grifters spread conspiracy theories about how he forged his birth certificate and was actually born in Kenya. Remember when Fox News hosts ranted about how unpresidential it was for him to wear a tan suit? They sure have relaxed their standards as of late... It was 8 years of nonstop obsession over every single thing he did, with a healthy dose of thinly veiled racism. Right wing mobs carried effigies of him with a noose around his neck... You seriously think the right didn't want to drive him out of politics and ruin his life? The people who still claim that Michelle is secretly a man? Yeah, no personal obsession there...

Or how about the Clinton obsession? The q-anon lunatics that made up conspiracy theories about how they were having child sex slaves trafficked through the basement of a pizza parlor? But that was just some fringe lunatics right?... Except you had a moron in this very thread just over a month okay using the word 'debunked' in quotations as if that theory was ever taken seriously (by anyone outside of q-ville) to begin with. oops

And what could possibly be more deranged than a mob showing up at the Capitol building and breaking in, all because their cult leader told them the election had been stolen. Or spreading conspiracy theories about how Democrats were hiring crisis actors to stage fake school shootings to try and come for your guns? Or claiming that climate change is some elaborate hoax by the left? Or deporting innocent people that are here legally?

The pushback is to your propagandized narrative versus the reality of what's really going on. Keep grasping at straws.
Would you please explain what you think is "the reality of what's really going on"?

It's like you felt obligated to object to what I said - which is nothing more than the simple truth - but couldn't actually think of anything . . . so you settled for an aimless attack with buzz phrases like "propagandized narrative" and "grasping at straws."

You know what would have been a smart pushback? You could have pointed out that the left used to favor a unified North America but now that Trump is moving that way, they are wetting themselves.

Try harder.

why would there be any pushback, just because previously you think you heard conservatives lighting their torches and sharpening their pitchforks, and now are imagining that the military has been put on alert for an invasion of northern territories?

If I'm pushing, it's for you to get your head examined. Not for trying to make mountains out of molehills, that's pathological with liberals. It's for the voices inside your head and the panic attacks you are experiencing.

and I didn't say it was. It's a postulate. founded on a wealth of experience. The proof is in the pudding.

You didn't eat your meat. How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat? You're just another brick in the liberal wall.

A right winger quoting a Pink Floyd song to try to make a point is actually hilarious. You should google Roger Waters views on Trump.

Whereas your head doesn't need to be examined. Garbage in, garbage out fully explains what passes for reasoning in your world.

this is funny. You speak of honesty and sweeping generalizations, and right away you assert that I am maintaining that all criticisms of Trump derive from TDS. I have maintained nothing of the sort and I myself have often enough talked about legitimate criticisms, and I don't in any way deny those here. YOU have to make that assertion just so you can have something to actually argue against because you have no sound rebuttal.

I don't have the time to do so now but I will finish reading your novel later and take it apart piece by piece, just as a courtesy to you..

and like a typically demented liberal, you believe that the politics of a musician must be addressed within his music instead of simply appreciating the song for what it is. Get a grip. I don't give a shit what Roger Waters thinks about Trump or anything else except as a matter of curiosity...and I'm not really that curious about it.

So why not spend your time trying to convince us that you and WWJD are NOT just bricks in that liberal wall? You really are.

You're right I should've just focused on the fact that it was a stupid attempt at insulting him.

focus better. I didn't attempt to insult him except by your desperate need to come back at me; and even if I did, it wasn't as stupid and insipid as this attempt of yours at insulting me.

It's the idea of trying to look a few steps or more ahead and what his real goal is as opposed to simply regurgitating the talking points agreed to at the DNC and then parroted by any D with a microphone. Things like constantly saying phrases such as "constitutional crisis". You are the one who needs to try harder.

With the absolute given that Trump is the one president in recent memory who consistently tries to keep us out of wars and/or get us out of existing wars, it's just absurd to suggest that we are suddenly going to "expand" by invading Greenland or Canada. It's nothing more than creating a narrative out of thin air because it's only about doing everything to undercut anything the elected president is behind. Try harder and at least stay within the bounds of reality.

One of the all time biggest Trump haters visited the WH the other day. Kid Rock took Bill Maher to see Trump, meet with him, and get an in-depth tour. Maher brought with him a list of the many insults that Trump had said about Maher over the last several years and presented it to the President. Did Trump have secret service give Maher the boot or anything else? No, he signed it and they had a good chuckle over it.

Biden may have signed such a document as well, but they would have had to use the auto pen.

When people quote what Trump is actually saying, that’s not regurgitating a talking point. He explicitly said he wants to annex Greenland and Canada. That’s not a “DNC talking point.” That’s something he said. Trump created that narrative and criticizing him for it is perfectly justified. If he doesn’t intend to actually try it, why is he going around saying it?

It’s not our job to jump through hoops and figure out why he’s saying things that he has no intentions of following through on. He’s not playing 4D chess, he’s just full of shit and has no sense of accountability for the bullshit coming out of his mouth.

And why would he? He has an army of rubes that will deflect and defend anything he says and claim anyone criticizing him just has “TDS.”

He constantly tries to keep us out of wars? Now this dipshit is provoking Iran and threatening to bomb them if they don’t agree to a deal. Thats not some sophisticated negotiation tactic, it’s just reckless and f*cking stupid.

We are dealing with mentally deranged people that believed Trump peed on hotel bedsheets with hookers in Moscow as part of the Russia Collusion BS, so of course the cult believes he is going to invade our neighbors.

They also believe Musk is stealing their social security numbers for fraud and that he is also going to steal their SS checks. He is poor they hear, not richer than 99% of the planet.

They want illegals in their crappy towns raping, pillaging and murdering people maybe because the Armageddon collapse of the US will bring back Karl Marx from the grave...

Because it's always context. He says a lot of things, but saying he intends to takeover, annex, or invade Canada and Greenland ARE all talking points. Does he really want Canada as our 51st state, something he has said multiple times? Of course not and, frankly, it would be a horrible idea for the R party. Does he want Canada to stop bending us over economically and even the playing field? Yes. The same applies as to a relationship with Greenland wherein he wants us to have the benefit of the resources locked below their frozen landscape while having a strategic advantage in our defenses against adversaries such as Russia. Again, he wants that to happen. How any of that equates to he's gonna order Pete Hegseth to start drawing up invasion plans is just bonkers. There are big, big differences from that leap to what he is really seeking. These are business deals, nothing more. Would we take Greenland if they voted to leave Denmark and become one of our territories or something? I think we would and we'd be idiots not to do so. And take a second to look at history. Trump is far from the first to want them as part of the US.

It's not our job to "jump" or do anything related to Trump. Just because you don't follow it and have gotten your panties wadded up over it while parroting a false narrative only makes it worse. Much of this is basic negotiation tactics. I'm sorry that you aren't privy to what his actual plan is and the steps he expects to use to get there. I'm also guessing that Belicheat and Hubert aren't consulting with you about their recruiting plans or the portal situation either.

I get it. Your from the school of thought that you have to be nice and give Iran a nice long back rub. I mean, that worked so well when Barry and Joe tried to buy them. Iran is going to be dealt with one way or the other. The last thing the world needs in general and the Middle East in particular is for them to further develop their weaponry. Don't worry, Israel will do the dirty work when it needs to happen. But yes, Trump wants to keep us out of wars: existing ones, ones about to happen, and those of the future. That latter category is what he's doing with Iran. He got us out of Afghan and he's trying to get the conflict between Russia and Ukraine resolved. You'll probably try to tell us that we should simply keep sending them money and weapons. Afterall, that was what the self-proclaimed great foreign policy president that allowed that war to happen put into place.

The “context” doesn’t make it any less stupid. Saying dumb shit isn’t a good negotiating tactic. And in the “context” of our trade with Canada, it’s even dumber considering that he’s the one that signed the trade deal with them during his last administration.

There’s no context that justifies saying you want to annex other countries and whether the folks in MAGAland want to admit it or not, having an idiot as a president has consequences.

You can call it a “back rub” or whatever you want but Obama was able to stop them from developing nuclear weapons for 8 years. We got unprecedented access to monitor their nuclear programs and didn’t have bomb them to do it. Iran has one notable ally that already has nuclear weapons. And threatening to kill people that fetishize martyrdom is probably not a great starting point for a productive negotiation. And if it did come down to an actual conflict, then hopefully they can manage to avoid leaking the war plans to a f*cking journalist.

because that's what he does. We of sound mind understand that because nothing could be more apparent. You and your silly-ass kind, however, want to take his every utterance and make far more of them than is at all reasonable or intended.

So he has expressed an interest in Greenland? He has expressed a similar interest in Canada? Are you so retrograde in your thinking that you haven't had similar thoughts?. I sure as hell have. I didn't voice them because who cares what I think. But Trump says what he thinks and that is exactly why I support him...he demonstrates the candor that we all profess to see in our president, and he takes the action that we have asked for. You just demonstrate what TDS does to its victims.

TDS is an elective affliction BTW. You don't have to suffer it if you simply choose not to. But when you display your voluntarily acquired case so openly, you're putting yourself in the TDS ward with all the other dummies. And that will be so noted by we who want to sympathize but don't want to encourage or align with such retardation.
