VT football is going to have to force Beamer to retire. He is well over the hill.

The problem for Tech is who are you going to hire? Bud Foster is the best they can do.
Why? VT has played for a National Title, and VA produces a lot of talent. Lane Stadium is almost always full or so close it might as well be.
VT is a fairly attractive job.
The only bad thing as far as a perfect day for Tar Heel fans is that Duke won. Leaving them in first of the Coastal at this time.
I agree Woad. They have nice facilities, a bit of tradition, and a rabid fan base. No reason they couldn't hire a good coach.
dook seems offensively challenged and Sirk is a mediocre QB.
It is going to be a fight to the top. VT is not very good, Duke is good on one side of the ball, UVA is not very good, Miami is poorly coached and who knows about Pitt. UNC can beat all those teams, but can also lose to all those teams. I think Clemson is better than FSU and the wusspack finally played a P5 team and guess what LOST. Shocking.
And to VT credit. Brewer will be back by the time we play them. So they can be in that spoiler mode by then. They still play great D. Ect against ECU last week.
I dont care who the VT QB will be when you all play them ... your team should be going into that game with all the confidence that they can win ... and they should.
