After getting run over by Syracuse to open the season, Louisville went to Orlando and won a hard fought victory over UCF 20-14. That is a nice W for the ACC. UCF has won at least 9 games in 4 of the previous 5 seasons, and a bit prior to that George O'Leary had 4 double digit win teams over 5 seasons. U CF is a consistent winner, including some Ws over SEC teams and in top level bowls.

That Syracuse could pound Louisville, which then defeated UCF in Orlando suggest that the ACC has depth and quality.

The most important game for the ACC this weekend is Tennessee at Pitt. Both are ranked. A win over a ranked SEC team by the tea that many think will win the Coastal will nudge many fans of the sport to recognize the quality of ACC football.

Down goes ND I guess they will be really ticked by the time we play them
They will not take us lightly. The Home loss to Marshall is either going to fire them up in the best way, or else be a drag on them all year. We have 2 weeks to prepare for them. Can this staff actually make adjustments that will matter?

ND will probably need to win out in order to make the playoffs. They won’t take anybody else lightly.
ND was officially eliminated yesterday. If they were in the ACC, they might have had a small chance if they won out. However, by expanding the playoffs, they would still easily get in with two losses, which means there is zero reason for them to join the ACC. That's why I started the thread about the ACC being dead.
