tell me about the new Mass legal weed laws. I'm getting ready to undergo some painful surgery and I am trying to figure out how to load up on high quality edibles.

So even though weed is now technically legal to buy and possess in MA as of 12/15, it still isn't legal to sell until 1/1/18. So therefore there aren't going to be a bunch of shops opening up to sell (like in CO or WA) for another year or so.

The current workaround that some of my buddies have already tried (and succeeded) is going on forums such as craigslist and Reddit, to find people who have been growing to sell to people with medicinal cards, who are now willing to "gift" weed/edibles to you in exchange for a "donation" to some BS charity they made up for themselves, which is I guess technically legal.

So bottom line is that you'd be able to legally underground it (if that makes any sense) in MA, but that you'd have more luck in just being able to roll into stores and buy whatever you wanted in CO or WA until next year. Not really sure on the laws in terms of transporting (or having delivered) interstate.

So my weed purchase would be tax deductible? Sweet.
