No substantive difference between a 1 and a 2 this go round IMO. We only played our way to a possible 1 in the past week-ish anyway. "DOOK's Zion" is destined to get the weakest break ever devised by the tourney committee and IMO only they will beat them unless the never before to happen UNC v. DOOK 4 happens.

If rather be the top#2 than the lowest #1.
Less pressure. We can quietly make our way into the Elite 8 and then make some noise.
I have a great deal of confidence against any team in the country.
Put us as a #8 and we still make the final 4.

Would be shocked if the Committee doesn't pick Tennessee for one of the top seeds since they've beaten Kentucky twice this season....I'm hoping Carolina can sneak into that top position, but both Tenn and Mich St. are playing today, and both have an opportunity for the remaining top seed....A Michigan State win over Michigan would be their 3rd win over the Wolverines this year....A loss by both the Vols and Spartans would give Carolina a chance to claim that last top seed IMO....

Going to be a great day today because it's almost time to Dance, and the dance partners will be announced later today!

I've stopped searching out better matchups down the tournament road quite a bit ago. There are certain team matchups strength wise that I will say uh-uh with, but overall the tournament will take plenty of twists and turns. Let the chips fall where they may, and survive and advance, each game! (Arkansas had us on life support in round 2, remember). We will get a fair shake, and so will all the other top seeds.

Of the top 8 in contention for 1 or 2 seeds this year, I am fine with any of the scenarios (except Kentucky in Louisville). All matchups if we were to meet in the elite 8 could easily go either way, I don't see a significant favorite or underdog in any of those matchups.

Curious yesterday afternoon, Clark Kellog was trying to sell the idea on CBS that the difference in a #1 and a #2 is very minimal.
Sorry Clark, not what the stats bear out over the years. #1's have an easier path with #2's having the more difficult path in a six game season.
He is an idiot. I tune him out every time I get the chance.

Lunardi’s current bracket would give us an easy path to the elite 8 then a matchup with Kentucky for a final four spot. That’s as easy as it’s going to get IMO

Is he putting us in Louisville?
No. No way we are in Louisville. If a 1, I think we are most likely in the midwest, but possibly the west if Michigan State got a 1 and somehow Zags got bumped to a 2.
Duke and UVA are locked in to East (DC) and South (Louisville), I'm pretty sure.

Doubtful. Should the Heels get a #1, it's more than likely going to be the Midwest #1 which goes through Kansas City. South Regional goes through Louisville. East Regional through DC. Safe bet that dook will be South, UVa will be East.

Actually, I stand corrected. Lunardi has dook and UVa flipped from my previous post.

Kansas City. I'll bet they arrange for either KU or K-St to be there (assuming the school wins 2), and each can, and will, fill the place.
I thought the same thing. That would be criminal. Maybe KU doesn't make it to second weekend this year. They aren't that great.

Going to guess we get 1 seed in Midwest at this point, with Michigan the 2 ( if they hold on against Mich. St. today).

I think the 3-8 overall seeds will be some mix of UNC, Zags, MSU, Michigan, UK, Tennessee? I'd take some matchup as a 4 or 5 overall to fall into MSU or Zags region in a heartbeat.

It's almost time. Selection Sunday > Christmas morning. Almost time to see what we got.

Wow- MSU going to find a way to win. I wonder if that'd bump us to the 5 spot overall. Again if that meant meeting MSU or Zags as 1's, I'd take it.

I thought both Houston and Tennessee were scary good, and flew under the radar. Both getting beat down today. But both are good enough to cause major problems if in our region. Just quite inconsistent I guess.

Lunardi had us as a #1 in the Mid West Region....about 3pm this afternoon or so...hope it holds.
