I don’t want to agree here, but without a PG; success that can be had next season almost becomes contingent on their returns. At this rate, we honestly might not be able to afford losing Ian and Drake.
I said this earlier this week about Bruce Thornton. I agreeAt this point you almost have to get dirty and start having the GM make offers to agents and try to lure a point guard into the portal. Jeff Goodman talked about teams trying to lure RJ into the portal last offseason.
You can have 2 small guards in your back court like we did this past season but both must be solid jump shooters, you make up what it costs you on defense with jump shooting. You can have a small PG that is a solid jump shooter to pair with Seth who struggles as a jump shooter because Seth is solid positional size and + defense of either guard position. NIgel Pack is small but he is solid jump shooting and ball handle, he would fit in well.Yeah when they say “he’s 6ft” he’s really 5’8 or 5’9.
Unless he’s willing to come off the bench we need big guards 6’3 or taller.
Lowe's jump shooting numbers didn't work for me and what we need.Lowe committed to Kentucky earlier today
Another miss at PGLowe committed to Kentucky earlier today
If this were to happen we have to hope for this comment to be so true:He's listed at 5'10" and is probably shorter than that. But we're running out of options.
Hes got a minute before his next game but who knowsIs Pack 100% healthy?
Dook is already stacked next & your probably correct! So the point guard from Princeton appears to be next up. Based on how the others have gone, we'll get a zoom meeting and he'll commit to dook 5 hours later.
Now that’s just our luckSo the point guard from Princeton appears to be next up. Based on how the others have gone, we'll get a zoom meeting and he'll commit to dook 5 hours later.
I'd like a starting PG before i worry about the backup.Do we need a good backup point guard? I'm thinking we do.
I'm assuming we can walk and chew gum at the same time. I'd grab Lee and Teel if I could, unless we have our sights set on better players.I'd like a starting PG before i worry about the backup.
Felt good for that split second though, didn't it?I didn't realize I wasn't still banned on the DOOK forum- I haven't been there in probably 15 years. I went there a minute ago and in poor taste posted a huge finger wagging smack down.
I remembered immediately I am a Tar Heel and behavior like that is beneath me so i deleted it immediately.
I think Carolina should entice Josh Hubbard from Miss State to enter the portal.
He declared for the draft but will go undrafted. Carolina starting this week can offer him more than many SEC schools that may have interest, including his current team.
Ty Lawson like player that is an absolute DOG!
ALL IN!!!!!!
Sounds like a custom-made fit for programs like Alabama, Arkansas, and choke (dook).Reading a ton of shady stuff about Wright. He'd be ours for a season at best only if we made the sweetest deal- sounds like his dad is basically pimping him to whomever and you can bet as soon as the grass looks greener elsewhere he'll jump again.
I'd pass on this type.
They certainly have the money for him.David Sisk said Wright > BYU
Lee should be a definite take if he is open to us.I'm assuming we can walk and chew gum at the same time. I'd grab Lee and Teel if I could, unless we have our sights set on better players.
Come on, now. Wright is hardly scraping the bottom. If Eliot is the "rich-man's" Cadeau, Wright would be "upper-middle-class".Scraping the bottom of the barrel and looking for a diamond in the rough. Got to be someone willing to play PG for Davis for 1 million dollars (not bad for 6 months of work).
