I fully realize this is a Tarheel message board and I hate the Dookies with all my fiber but I must commend a recent act by Kyrie Irving. At the end of regulation at a recent game (perhaps played on Veterans Day) Kyrie spotted 2 female soldiers wearing their uniforms and walked over to them. He gave one of them his game jersey and the other his shoes. I do not know if Kyrie has any relatives in the military but I respect the effort made to recognize their service to our country. Our soldiers do not receive enough gratitude and recognition for their duty and it was a pleasure to see a well paid basketball player take the time to acknowledge their service. True it was a small gesture but one well made and which truly made their evening. Well done! Please no bashing and I'm sure a dookie would never acknowledge such an act made by our beloved Tar Heels!
