Real popcorn thread...Mueller investigation

No indictments? Over thirty people were indicted including 6 of trump’s cohorts. The investigation already established extensive connections between the trump campaign and Russian nationals. Not sure how this looks good for trump.

George Papadopoulos lied about contact with Russian agents while serving as foreign policy advisor to Trump. That's pretty clearly related to Trump.

Well they should not have committed those crimes that are completely unrelated to Trump.
I'm not sure what they did or whom it was related to. But, regardless, 34 people were indicted, many pled guilty. Assuming that they are "completely unrelated to Trump" isn't exactly factual. But, be my guest.

Here's the thing. Obama was wiretapping the Teflon Don before the election. If there was anything to this Russia business it would have come out before the election, not after. I've said all along that this was a classic case of deflection to keep the Republicans on their heels so they didn't investigate issues like Uranium One or Fusion GPS. I'm sure it isn't over. It looks like this tax nonsense is going to be the next move for the Democrats.

All I know is that I voted for more Dems in 2016 than Republicans. In 2018 I voted the straight Rep party line because of the Dems. I'll do the same in 2020. This is why the Dems are pushing for illegals to vote. They're losing white and black working class citizens. I don't particularly like the Reps, but the Dems are so bats*** crazy that you can't even vote for them anymore.

No to what? Nothing in my post can be denied by a sane objective person...

You're not wrong about some things in this thread, but this is a massive leap of logic to connect the Russians to Trump through Papadapolous, without any kind of evidence. Hell, Papadapolous was only sentenced to 14 days in prison, and that was for lying to the FBI. This argument is a real stretch.

He lied to the FBI about contact with Russians during the campaign. My initial statement was that the investigation established the connection between Russians and the trump campaign. He was part of that campaign.

We can make a few basic assumptions.

1. Georgie lied for a reason. He wouldn't risk perjury without a good reason for doing so.

2. Trump probably knew about it. This is a major player in his campaign, and there's really no reason to think that GP was just some rogue agent acting on his own behalf.

We know that Russia meddled in our election, and we know the Trump campaign had contact with Russian nationals during that time.

We also knew that Trump fired Comey, which he admitted was because "of the Russia stuff." That alone is evidence of obstruction of justice.

The people who think Trump is completely innocent would 110% feel differently if it were Obama's foreign policy advisor who had illegal contacts with Russian agents.

Regardless of any spin from pro-trump poasters in this thread, this looks bad for trump. I'm well aware of the fact that it will have no impact on his base. They didn't care when they heard the tape of him bragging about sexual assault, they didn't care about him shafting contractors and small businesses, or abusing bankruptcy laws. They didn't care about him dodging the draft, and insulting a dead veteran who was a POW. They won't care about this. He really could shoot someone on fifth avenue, and some of you genuinely wouldn't give a damn. This is how democracy dies. When people sell out principles in favor of a cult of personality. Maybe our institutions are strong enough to prevent that. But make no mistake, this is exactly how it happens.

Or he got tripped up by the questioning. You make a lot of assumptions about this. Again, if Trump was working with the Russians, it would have come out well before the election. They wouldn't have risked Hillary losing. It's a reaction to her loss. This is all even more hilarious because of the Fusion GPS stuff that happened before the election. This was the Clintons and McCain paying for a Russian dossier, through an ex MI-6 agent, which turned out to be fake, in order to affect the outcome of the election. Where is the outrage over that?

Also, if they know that Papadapolous lied, that means they also know the truth. If they know the truth and aren't going after Trump, where is your proof?

One last thing. Manafort was working with the Podestas when he laundered all that money. Why aren't the Podestas going to jail? Everything in this investigation has pointed towards partisan hackery. Nobody outside the TDS bubble takes it seriously.

The shifting narrative is interesting. First it was Muller was going to take Trump down. Then it got bigger and Muller was going to take down Trump and his family. Then it became obvious that wasn't happening so it became Muller is going to take down the Trump campaign. Now it's just become the campaign looks really bad and Trump hangs around slimy people. I could have told you that just by doing a quick Google search. This was almost as useless as the email investigation against Clinton. I guess it's just the government doing what they do best, wasting money.

The campaign is just a collective of individuals. Several of those individuals are going to jail. That's different than just looking bad.

Right now the sensible move is to wait for the report to actually be released to the public, since nobody in this thread actually knows what's in it.

Want to bet collusion is not in it?

It's not getting released. At least not the bulk of it. We most likely will never even know who was investigated since it's the policy of the justice department to not release that info.

No one knows except him if he ‘lied for a reason’. Maybe he just didn’t remember some Russian he was in the same roomwith a year ago. The threshold for perjury to a special counsel is merely that special counsel saying you lied to him/her and you can be charged.
‘Trump probably knew about it’ is laughable at best, and this dude was nowhere near a major player in the campaign, but nice stretch retard.

They're going to jail for stuff that had nothing to do with the campaign. Keep trying to connect the dots that aren't there.

The regressives ( I E Democrats) are shouting for ALL the Mueller report to be released and I quite agree. I especially want ALL emails, docs, calls memos etc related to the set up by Fusion GPS that started this whole pile of rotten garbage. I want all that crap exposed, revealing this entire thing was a coverup/diversion for Queen Hillary. She is /was up to her eyeballs in corruption related to Uranium One( the REAL collusion between Russia and HER) which has gone completely untouched and unexamined by these democrat hack prosecutors and the media whores that will ignore the real corruption of their left wing heroes.
