Reportedly the following were in the Dome today:
'16 Robinson (commit)
'17 Knox
'18 Reddish and Black (commit)
'19 Moore

I know Reddish made it a double header for the weekend - Saturday at HIS and today at the Hill.
It'd be interesting to know his real feelings about both visits (knowing we'll hear the usual "amazing experience" quotes)
Also, you have to wonder about the impression both games would have.... Dook win on a home-cooking, non-call, illegal buzzer beater in a 125 point game while the Heels blow away Pitt by 21 in a 149 point game.

Topping off the weekend, the other recruit in the building was '16 Shea Rush 6-6 who has committed as a preferred walk on.

Who knows what goes thru these kdis minds????? I think we made a very positive statement today. If that is not enough and he chooses the Dark Side then so be it. I ONLY want people who WANT to be Heels ................PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if the recruits hung out for the embarrassing little boy-hugging nerd fest put on by the Dookbag players after their "win". That sort of questionable manliness activity is a trademark of that program. How that can be appealing to a recruit, I'm not sure.

I like the motor on this Rush kid!!!!! Think he'll be a baller, give him a couple of years to develop. Good wing defender possibilities.

Not a bad thing yet. He's really early in his recruiting process. Gotta stay on him, because he's rising fast!

Dude looks a hell of a lot like Meeks.

Is he related to Brandon Rush that played for Kansas?
YES..HIS NEPHEW..JARON RUSH IS HIS FATHER(BRANDON'S OLDER BROTHER WHO PLAYED FOR UCLA)..KAREEM RUSH IS ALSO HIS UNCLE WHO PLAYED FOR THE LAKERS FOR SEVERAL SEASONS..

Nice pedigree for the young man. Welcome to the Family, Mr. Rush!

Wow, that is quite a haul, if we get a few of those guys! I'm glad the team put on a great show for them.

Sage is a JR in high school I think....
He has one promised for the following year I think.

And isn't Luke Maye one?

Like who is preferred more than the others? Lol

I guess the older one is a football player si he gets his scholarship through them tho so he is just a regular walk on.

Technically Maye is a scholarship player since Roy guaranteed that he would be on scholarship his last 3 year's at UNC.

Sage is a junior who has been offered a preferred walk on spot for basketball as well as has a scholarship offer in football from UNC... Chazz will be counted towards football numbers so yes he could be considered a regular walk on to the basketball team but he had significant conversations with Roy about playing basketball at UNC as well

I watched both Sarratt brothers play basketball last Friday night at West Caldwell. Sage looked really good, I don't remember how many points he scored but I would guess about 18-20. Chazz looked like he was still a little rusty coming back from the elbow injury but still scored about 10 points. He had a good sized pad on his left elbow and looked to be left handed. He may not be, I haven't looked it up but seemed to prefer his left hand. They play very well together. They have a really good team, I see why he wanted to go back and play basketball the rest of the season instead of enrolling at UNC early.

I can too, especially since he's playing with his bro. BTW, Chazz IS a lefty.

How many preferred walkons do we have?

Chazz Surratt
Sage Surratt
Shea Rush

Is this normal?

Has Sage already committed to UNC (or whatever the process is for walk-ons)? I know part of the reason Chazz came to UNC was if his brother got to walk on, but I read he's still getting offers.

I think it's a given he is coming as a preferred walk on.

Sage is entertaining offers in both sports and is looking at the schools that offer a scholarship but still lists UNC as a favorite.

I was there as well racingheel as well as watched them play at Hibriten earlier before Chazz came back as Sage scored 41.

Yes, and by NCAA rule if they play football that has to be the scholarship they take --- rule was put in to keep football factories from going over the limit by sloughing schollies over to other sports.
