Request for Hubert

I'd give sooo much to play one game in a Unc jersey as im sure so many others would. To see us act like this disrespects every fan who's loved this program. Every game matters when you wear North Carolina on your chest and our head coach doesn't seem to believe this.

I think the Coach believes that but the players don’t .. I believe if the entire “Team” had voted to play they would be playing.. this group shouldn’t have the privilege to continue to wear that jersey

Personally I don't care if a bunch of kids want to quit. The coach is responsible for not letting them quit and teaching until the bitter end. I assure you theirs kids on that bench who have worked their entire career to get a meaningful minute at UNC and Hubert has taken that oportunity away. Hubert preached last year about meaningful moments and experiences but i guess thats only for starters bench players don't get the oportunity for such moments.

The ones that voted no shouldn’t. I understand Hubert asking for a consensus, it should tell him which players are all in and which ones need to move on. But he should have overridden the results and played with Blue Steel if necessary. Out of 18 players, there’s little chance that 6-7 don’t choose to play. That way you set an example by saying UNC never quits! Another bad precedent being set by this staff.

Guys, it isn’t about whether we win the NIT or lose the first game. It’s about swallowing your ego and showing up to compete. Other than health reasons that prevent us from fielding enough players, we should always show up and compete! Hubert and the team quit, as did Bubba if he had anything to say about it. They simply quit.

Amen to that first line. Our society is raising a bunch of spoiled brats, our “team” simply reflects that. Everyone loves the adulation of being a star/celebrity, no one likes the accompanying criticism/flak that comes with being in the public eye and being held to great expectations. If you can’t stand the heat, you don’t belong in the kitchen.

My Guess is that the players that actually play voted. We sucked. we couldnt shoot. We couldnt play defense. personnel on the court was awful at times with ZERO scoring options. Attitudes were bad. No team unity. No school spirit. Team doesnt even like each other. or that is the way it appears. Team on sidelines kinda of pay attention to the game but when they know that there is only a 7 man rotation unless someone gets in foul trouble...why pay attention? Attitude reflects leadership. But even with great leadership, pride will overrule the best leadership. and these kids are now filled with so much ego (stroked since people saw they were diff and special from a young age) and NIL money fueling incentives. Transfer portal It is just a pathetic situation of spoiled kids getting recruited over because they werent good enough to start over younger better players. Can it all be fixed with a new coach...doubt it. Need different attitudes from players.

That reminds me is the

This reminds me of the line Hubert continued to use in his first press conference when he was hired. He said Carolina will always show up.
