Well, I'm not sure how both win. If it's close enough for a run-off, that's what they'll do. Either way, voters split and 120k voted for Roy and against Hillary.
It was actually 5,200 votes for Cooper. Durham county had some "technical issues" at a couple polling places yesterday, folks had to start checking in manually and this caused a delay in the lines and they stayed open later than the rest of the county .. hence the late turn in of the votes.
I voted for cooper. Mcrory single handedly ruined film industry here in wilm with a slime ball back room good ole boy deal then single handedly ran off ncaa games, nba all star game, and other events to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars for a stupid unnecessary unenforceable law. Even as a republican i cant support that. He can gfh.
I cannot speak to the film stuff ...but McCrory did not make the decision to remove the sports .. the NCAA and NBA did. Why does politics overlap with the sports and music industries? What does one have to do with the other? I notice the NCAA is still holding the Battle 4 Atlantis basketball tournament ... try being a member of the LGBT community down there. Such hypocrisy!
And yes the law IS enforceable. I'm at the park with my daughters ... a man goes into the girls bathroom when they're in there, I walk in behind him and drag him out. Pretty simple. Sure, without HB2 I can technically do the same thing, but he could sue me because he "identified as a woman" at that moment.
And, yet, you voted for a guy to be president who has openly admitted to doing that, and laughed about it. Don't be so dramatic. Transgenders aren't trying to have sex with your daughters. They just want to empty their bladders and bowels in the appropriate location to their identity. It's a restroom, not an orgy parlor.

You really don't know what transgenders want to do or if they are truly transgenders in any particular situation. Unless you are going to tell me that there are no transgenders that there are only people.
I wouldn't say he's gone yet. With a vote that close you are going to get a recount and anything could happen then.
Their identity is dependent on XX or XY chromosomes. A vagina or a penis. If a man identifies as a woman cut it off and use the women's RR simple as that. Or build unisex bathrooms.

Thats not enforcing it. U enforce laws by monitoring the obedience. Otherwise its useless. The law says u have to use the bathroom that matches your birth cert. The only way to enforce that is to station a monitor who checks birth certificates against genitalia. Guarantee u the law has been broken hundreds of times if not thousands. Yet no arrests.

Exit polling showed 75% of nc voters oppose hb2. Its not a lib thing. And if the ncga wants to force another useless unenforceable law down our throats that ensures the loss of tens of millions of dollars then they will be joining mcrory on the couch.

The part of HB2 that overturned Charlotte's bathroom nonsense was very necessary. The part that stripped away anti-discrimination protection for LGBT was where Raleigh overreached and went astray, and I agree that part of it needs to go.
As far as these businesses boycotting and attempting to tell a state what laws it can and cannot enact, they can take their all star game and shove it. PayPal refused to come here over HB2, yet they go without qualms to Malaysia where gays are killed . That's the hypocrisy I have an issue with.

There are still 10's of thousand of absentee etc. ballots to count. McCroy and the Republicans had straightened out NC's budget woes and despite LGBT our GDP grew faster %wise than any other state. Roy Cooper is just another Tony Rand/Mark Basnight lap dog just like Bev and Mikey were.
So I just realized/heard that Duke was originally scheduled to play Albany tonight, but had to replace them with Marist. The reason being that SUNY officials banned all publicly funded travel to NC in protest of the HB2 law. Interesting.
