Any rumors or predictions if he can play Thursday.Originally posted by bleeduncblue:

All depends on the grade. If it's grade 1 he's playing. If it's 2, he's probably not. Assuming he doesn't have a 3 or else he wouldn't be walking around on it.Originally posted by bleeduncblue:

I'm no doc but you can't read too much into how it feels when muscles are warm and adrenaline is amped up. Next day after it gets cold and swelling comes and goes is when you can tell more. I've heard of guys being able to play thru the rest of a game where they were injured but couldn't go the next day. I think that was the case with Butters broken hand. I hope for good news on Meeks but I am highly skeptical of how mobile he will be. Too bad b. He works his butt off to hustle up and down the court to keep up with our running guards and wingsOriginally posted by strummingram:
He didn't even seem to be walking gingerly or with any noticeable inhibition when he went to the locker room. I'm sure they will make the right decision.
Just read that on DSPN, feel terrible for Kennedy.... and Roy - he must feel like he can't catch a break.Originally posted by BillyL:
Kennedy is out . . . best wishes for a speedy recovery and do know that we love ya, big man.
No chance, he's out . .Originally posted by kc2525:
He still has another couple days to make progress, so he is not out yet. If a doctor has not ruled him out yet, then there is definitely still a chance he can play.

We'll go with Johnson, James, Hicks and Simmons . . maybe some JP at the 4.
Well... to beat Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament, I'd say we do REALLY NEED Meeks!Originally posted by Hark_The_Sound_2010:

"They're not completely ruling him out and they're not saying he can play," Williams said on his radio show Monday night. "Let me say it that way, I don't think we'll have him, but we'll just have to wait and see."
Williams said Meeks, a sophomore who averages 11.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, did not participate in Monday's practice. But he looked at Wednesday's practice as what will define Meeks' playing status.
It doesn't sound promising, but from this I'd say its not a done deal, unless you have some information that isnt out there?
Its not that we really need Meeks, its more that we cant afford to have James and Simmons play a lot of minutes
Theo is not close to 100% .they have already said he will have surgery on his foot.Originally posted by DSouthr:
Don't look for him to play thurs, sat would be very questionable as well, sucks because whisky is the type of team Meeks could have played well against and on deck if we were to get by whisky is Arizona. With the rate we picked up fouls by Brice & Hicks, clearly this is a major hit.
The real question for me at this point is how mended is Theo's foot. If that foot, which I don't think it 100% right now, but if it is then this whisky game needs a healthy dose of Theo & JP on the floor together and we darn sure need Joel Berry at the point with Marcus looking for his shooting groove from the 2 and Jackson has to step up big. I want JP or Theo to fly paper defend Decker, we can switch a ton of screens with those 2 fellas and I think we can get out & run at our preferred pace with those 2. If we try to go big we will find Brice & Hicks both in serious foul trouble.
No offense to the kid, but Theo has been a nightmare in his last 2 outings. I'm not sure I want to see him out there unless we have major foul trouble.Originally posted by geo1464:

If Hicks and Brice can play that long without getting into foul trouble, I'm all for it.
I'd drop Britt minutes to 10, and bump Jackson into that 30 min area as well.
Simmons should be put in for his 5 minutes when Hicks/Brice are both tired. And his 5 minutes should end when he commits his 5th foul on Kamisky. Seriously... if Simmons is in the game, he should be hacking Frank every time he touches the ball, until the other bigs can get back into the game.
Me too!! Who have they beaten?? They have good players but they spent the season in the horrible Big 10 with 2 ranked teams, including them. Big deal.Originally posted by Bur-Heel:

glinger, you sniffin your gun oil again? LOL I am focused on Theo as a defender, anything he may chip in on the offensive end is gravey and IMO he is a slasher that can finish but definitly is not a solid jump shooter.Originally posted by gunslingerdick:

That's how I'd break down the minutes. Of course if Jackson, Berry or Britt is hot from deep they could steal some of Hicks' time. But I think Hicks is going to be very valuable in this game (can't foul out in 12 minutes though).
