It really is. He has not at all played the NFL standard game to become HC. The owner and GM both say that Saturday was offered positions on the staff before. I assume that he wanted to live in the Atlanta area for family reasons.

The Colts clearly wanted Manning to to go into coaching, to be that coach on the field who actually became coach. Saturday was also a coach on the field type, just at C rather than QB.
