My thoughts exactly. Used it all up two weeks ago.
Not only that, but the Kearse catch was lucky as hell. They're never in the position of Pete calling a bad play if the ball bounces a different way on the Kearse play.

Then there was what everyone is calling the worst play call in the history of football. Colin Cowherd has been all over this play this morning. He's made a ton of great points why it wasn't that bad of a call. And I agree with a lot of what he said. First of all, Pete stated they didn't have the right match ups to run the ball. NE had their big line up in. And Lynch had a good game, but the Pats front 7 stuffed on him several occasions. If the Seahawks run the ball and the Pats get penetration, you're possibly looking at 3rd down being from the 3 or 4 yard line instead of the 1, which at that point would almost force Seattle to pass. Secondly, the Seahawks only had one timeout. Say they run, and don't get in. They'd have to use their timeout and then have 15 seconds for their last 2 plays. Probably wouldn't mean much as they were so close and the likelihood of a play taking a long time is small. But still, it's a valid point. And lastly, as Cowherd asked this morning, if it was such a bad play, then why did Belichick, the best coach in the league, have the scout team run it all week? It wasn't so much of a bad call that Belichick had forgotten about the possibility of it. The Pats were ready for that play - several guys stated as much. They knew it was coming and Butler made a play that will live on forever in New England sports lore.

What a great game. Glad Bill and Brady got their coveted 4th. Both cemented their legacies as one of, if not the very best, at what they do.
